I think Oklahoma brought their A game. That was about as tough of a sweep as one could imagine. I think that was a good test for Pitt. Pitt had to earn every point tonight. That will serve them well going forward
Ok great on the block and we overcame their good play throughout

Pitt needs to turn it up and I'm thinking their A game is needed every single point from here
The had a pretty bad start to the season. I didn't really think they deserved to be in the tournament let alone be seeded. Definitely lived and died with their block all year. Averaged 2.5 per set and really sold out with it against Pitt. Good strategy as a Hail Mary.
Looking at the Sweet 16, I think Louisville has the most difficult matchup. Purdue is weirdly dangerous. Haven't had a "bad" loss all season. Creighton and Texas could also be an interesting matchup. Creighton doesn't play as tough a schedule but their only two losses were Nebraska and Louisville and both went five sets. Also had some nice, ranked wins in their OOC schedule.
Nobody has "easy" games left but those are two that I think could get interesting.

Creighton/Texas winner ought to be a good test for Penn State.
Not that anyone is necessarily following but Gannon is in the Elite 8 of the D2 tournament and play Thursday night. Not unfamiliar ground for them. Lots of Pittsburgh area athletes on that team. Games are in Sioux Falls so that will be a fun trip...

They have really been outplayed since the Oregon coach called the TO at 19-13 in the first set. VVG has given them almost nothing and they have blocked Babcock on 3 of her last 4 strikes.

The standards are almost impossibly high, but Fairbanks seems a tiny little bit off.
I really wish Pitt was more aggressive serving, we're not doing enough to get them out of system
I think Pitt needs to consider benching VVG completely and going Bayless front row/Meyer back row in the third set and let Griffin serve in the MB2 slot. VVG is doing nothing in the front or back
what an awful awful awful way to blow that set. Two bad unforced errors to blow so much momentum.
How many aces do they have now? Serve receive hasn't been great the past few matches, but nothing like today. And the lack of communication and letting balls fall between multiple players has been maddening. Hopefully the 2nd set woke them up and helps them to get it together. Pitt beat themselves in the 2nd set. H2P
7 aces through 2 sets. Unacceptable for a team with National Championship aspirations
VVG’s best quality all year has been her serving, but today she is serving lollypops. Just awful
