I hate to say this

But the Steelers are beginning to look like the Panthers as the regular season winds down. They have looked downright awful against the Eagles and Ravens the past two games. KC @ home on Christmas Day won't be easy, nor will the Bengals if they are finally catching their stride

I certainly wasn't expecting the Steelers to be anything more than a 10-7 or 9-8 team this year - just as my expectations for the Panthers were (about 6-6 or 7-5) - but when they came out at 10-3 I wondered if maybe I overlooked something. They really looked overmatched as the game wore on. That fumble by Wilson when it was 7-7 was a killer, and they never were able to recover

Yes, the Ravens got lucky perhaps with recovering three of their own fumbles in addition to the one by Russell. But their rushing game and overall offense was far better than Pittsburgh's. I can't wait to see what Pittsburgh Dad is going to say about this in his next video recap. Hope it gives me something to laugh about. I know his neighbor Tom will be happy ...

Commish of College Football

I've heard Nick Saban's name from two or three different people about being a college football commissioner. Just curious to what other people's thoughts on this. Would he do it? Would he be good for college football? Would someone else be a better option? If one commissioner was hired what happens to the conference offices as we know it? I'm not really sure what to think but interested in what others think.

CFP - prediction

The dust has settled, and we have the 7 seed playing the 8 seed for the NC (who had their $ on that final?)

Two teams that have a bad loss at home this season (the one to Northern Illinois by ND is worse than OSU to Michigan, IMO)

Two teams that did not win their regular season conference title (in fairness, ND is an independent)

Two teams that are great defensively and more than serviceable offensively

Two teams led by QB's who came through the portal and are deeply religious - and look like they have never used a razor for whatever that's worth (FTR, has any Pitt player - in a post-game interview, praised the Lord? I know that Palko uttered an expletive on live TV ...)

Two relatively new head coaches for their organizations; one who focuses on offense (Day) and one who is a former DC (Freeman)

Two teams that, while being blue bloods, have little history vs each other, surprisingly; (OSU leads 6-2 and ND hasn't defeated OSU since before WWII)

I have no dog in the hunt, but I do think that OSU wins. Bet the under and take the points with ND (final score prediction: OSU 22, ND 17)

One thing's for certain: Mercedes Benz Stadium will be rocking with a sold-out venue, and the TV revenues will be equally huge

Just wish that Herbstreit wasn't doing the game. No knock on him, but it'll be tough for him to be "neutral"

Narduzzi’s notepad

We score to start the fifth overtime. The camera goes to Narduzzi. We need a stop to win. What is Pat doing? He is writing in his notebook. Maybe he should’ve been thinking about his defense. How can you possibly defend this guy?

Dugger was his fifth string quarterback. Lynch beat him out. What kind of talent evaluation is that? I don’t wanna hear excuses about he was a scout team quarterback. He gets paid $7 million a year to figure things like this out.
