“What if I Wasn’t Tyreek Hill?”

I didn't claim otherwise. I refuted your claim that "speeding is speeding". You were wrong (clearly, duh) and keep trying to shift the argument away from that. But you can't.
Then what does mean

Then what does mean

What are you asking? Souf said speeding is speeding. I pointed out it wasn't. There are different infractions based on the circumstances. I'm not even sure why you'd bother to reply to that.

Actually Hill is making this racial. Check out the post above when interviewed on CNN. Are you trying to say that Hill isn't alluding to racial protests in his comments?

Collins: You just tweeted a moment ago. You said, let's make a change. What did you mean by that?

Hill: We tried it all. We protested. We took a knee. What’s next? We’re brainstorming on how we can be a part of this change

Racial bias by police is overstated. Hill was driving too fast and then acted like a jackass. He got exactly what he deserved.

An average white guy in a Ford sedan would be treated the same way if he showed that same amount of disrespect.

Whew, that takes a load off my mind. I'm glad your post could disprove the many, many studies that use survey and statistical analysis to suggest that exact opposite in virtually every case.

You have to be a white guy to type some nonsense like that. I have been pulled over at least 20 times in my life. Once for speeding. I find it hard to believe that my race doesn't play a part in this. By the way I have never shown any type of disrespect to the cops. It is what is. I am a law abiding citizen should not have to put up with this. I can't give a cop benefit of the doubt. I wish I could.

This 10000% . I was wondering who would post his history and his lack of punishment
He is a jerk, thats who he is
And here’s a novel idea how about when the cop tells you to roll down your window comply and none of this escalates. I mean he has windows so dark you can’t see anything inside so who’s to say he’s not got a gun or other weapon. I mean if a cop tells you to do something just listen or shit like this happens but you can’t cry victim when you won’t obey a simple order to roll down your window.

Cool...he's wrong, too.

a relative who resides in FL tells me it's state law that you're required to put your window down for a traffic stop, he's 100% pro cop - full disclosure

Read the thread, it's been answered. He did put his window down, twice

He did put it down. He is not required to keep it down. When asked by a cop, you are required to lower it. He failed to do so the 1st time. He put it down the 2nd.

Maybe because he was going 120 had he been doing 46 in a 40 then none of this happens
He was supposedly going 60 and the cops didn’t even get him on radar, it was a “visual estimation”, that’s what ESPN is reporting was on his citation.

Bullshit you’re a race baiting cop hater defending the indefensible and your 100 posts here prove that so we get it and where you stand. The guy rolled his window back up and refused to put it back down in a car you couldn’t see in so make all the excuses you want the guy brought it all on himself by not simply doing what was asked period. I’m no fan of cops by any means but I certainly do what I’m told when I encounter them and have never had an issue. If I mouthed off or disobeyed any direction given to me I’d expect the same treatment he got.

IF the state law is to put it down during a stop, it would be unlikely that the driver gets to decide when to put it back up - common sense. I would think you put it back up once the "stop" is over, not during.

I didn't say there was no difference, just that it was overstated. Especially when it comes to police shootings.

Why is it that 99% of the time when there is a video available the actual footage doesn't matchup with the drivers account? In this case, Hill was being disrespectful, which isn't reason enough to cuff him, but then he had to roll up his tinted window which would certainly make most officers concerned.

I bet I simply get a ticket and move on with my day .

Doesn’t take 6 officers for a moving violation

They saw black guy in a very expensive car and went nuts .
Those cops sounded Hispanic to me. Are Miami Hispanics anti black guys with expensive cars? I have no idea. In the handful of hours I have ever spent in Miami expensive cars were everywhere.

I thought Hill was being a dick and the cops responded as dicks. I am curious to find out what Hill did to be pulled over though. If he was speeding 7 miles over the speed limit this looks absurd. If he was driving dangerously maybe not.

The reality is this. When you get pulled over, you’re legally detained and now part of an investigation into what traffic laws were broken, while police try to determine what penalty, if any, will be administered. The potential penalties based on severity of the accused crime include a verbal warning, a written warning, a citation, or an arrest with a free ride to jail to be booked while you wait to see a judge.

During this time, your participation is not just expected, it’s mandatory. Following what police tell you is a critical part of this process, and deviation from this is not advised. For example, when we tell you to roll down your window and provide proof of your drivers license, insurance card, and registration, it isn’t a suggestion.

Mr. Hill chose to provide information, before rolling up windows, a move that was never suggested to him. In fact, his illegally tinted windows are especially problematic, because police have no idea what you’re doing, raising the threat level to officers. Again, roll down your window is a lawful command, not a suggestion.

Mr. Hill also escalated the situation by incoherently arguing with officers, prompting the officers to instruct him to get out of his car, which he did not comply with. This prompted officers to drag him out of the car, placing him in handcuffs. It’s important to note that being placed in handcuffs does not mean you’re being arrested. This means you’re being forcefully detained while the investigation continues, mainly for officers safety.

Mr. Hill is lucky he didn’t catch a resisting arrest charge as well, which would have been justified, given that he was non-compliant, forcing officers to take him to the ground and use some force to place him in cuffs.

As it stands, it sounds like he was released after some time, and issued a couple of citations for careless driving and failure to wear a seatbelt. He’ll probably plea not guilty and find some idiot to defend his actions in court, where a Judge will determine his innocence or guilt.

Not sure why the officer was placed on administrative leave, he did nothing wrong. Also, Mr. Hill taking to CNN to explain what happened was non-sensical and probably lost him whatever case he planned on mounting. Not even a woke-CNN host who was trying to make this an anti-black thing could make sense of what he was saying. Bad look for the defendant.

Honestly - this particular argument sounds like a jail house lawyer trying to be clever. Which just about always fails to impress a judge.

It was 20 over in a high traffic, high pedestrian area. That will get you pulled over 9/10 times

He wasn’t cited for speeding, it was for careless driving.

He wasn’t cited for speeding .
Whoops

And don’t forget - a seatbelt citations
Clearly - pulled out of the vehicle and cuffed type of offenses
Cuffable circumstance when you refuse to keep your overly tinted window down despite multiple requests by the officers. Their safety was in potential jeopardy and cuffing the individual that was refusing requests and escalating the risk of the situation was warranted.

The window was down to provide his registration and license .
It was open enough for him to talk to the officers before they pulled him forcibly from the car -
For - again - a seatbelt violation

Man, what video did you see? The one I saw clearly showed he had to be asked repeatedly to roll down the window, rolled it down far enough to repeatedly tell the cop to not knock in the window, then roll it up and completely ignore the cop’s reasonable instruction. Look - there are PLENTY of examples of cops going way over the line, and I do believe “driving while Black” is an actual phenomenon which causes needless traffic stops and in some instances violent arrests, but c’mon man! Hill acted privileged and grossly overestimated his place on the power scale in this instance. The cop needed to see Hill and see his hands. Hill’s childish refusal to lower his window and keep it down throughout the encounter caused the ugly consequence.

In these encounters there is a huge power imbalance and the imbalance favors LE. Don’t fight that fight.

The problem in this situation was the second officer who came in. The first officer was handling the situation in a professional manner. Tyreek was being difficult and he had every right to ask him to get out of the car for not keeping his window down. The issue was the second officer who decided he was going to escalate the situation.

Same thing happened when they told him to sit down on the curb. First officer was reasonable, but the second guy decided to come in and physically force the issue.

Ultimately, Hill brought this upon himself by being difficult because he was pissed he got pulled over. However, it didn't need to be escalated physically by the second officer.

pretty much my take on this. if the 2nd cop wasnt involved, hill would be a social media punchline-meme today. but that 2nd cop gives this story some legs..

i dont expect him to have a job too much longer.

A good cop never stops a bad cop in these situations .
Which is telling about the good cops .
I think it happened once in a situation in Buffalo - and the good cop was terminated for her trouble .

The 2nd cop also escalated things when he butted in on another cop dealing with Hill's teammate, was screaming contradicting orders to what the other cop was asking and made things way worse. There's zero reason for a cop to go all Gunny Highway during what was basically a routine traffic stop, he shouldn't be allowed to have a badge of any kind.

hill's teammate got off light. you see someone pulled over in the middle of a traffic stop and park and get out and interfere, it's going to end badly. that teammate should be thankful the cops didnt handle that situation how they normally would.
