2-loss PSU in the top 10 because of that signature OSU win...

And we'll get votes in the poll where they vaulted to # 24 and we beat a better team on the road

But PSU is in the Big Ten!

Very curious how many losses they'd have playing @ OK state, @ UNC, @ Miami, VT... I still give them credit for their turnaround, and Franklin hit big time with his OC hire, but top 10 is ridiculous.

It's funny that Pedo State "turned around" its season once Fat 10 play started. The Pedos are also too dumb to realize they'really ranked so high to make sure that Ohio State stays in the playoff conversation.

And Joe effing knew. They ALL knew.

Yeah that was weird. The playoff committee almost used their win to justify keeping tOSU at #6.

Meh - we both beat the #2 team. Ours was on the road in perfect weather, so on paper it is more impressive, but their win is legit too.

But, Joe knew.

Pitt is better than Penn State. I give them credit for beating a very good OSU team but we beat a much better team on the road. Nobody besides Michigan and OSU on their schedule is better than Miami, UNC, VT, and OKST. They took advantage of a very easy schedule. They would have 5 or 6 losses if they had our schedule.

Nice win today - you can say whatever you want about whose wins were better and of course Pitt beat PSU but the " committe" are the ones who make the call. PSU could be at #6 or #7 next week. Pitt who knows.

The "Committee" makes the call on overall records, no SOS. Congrats on a potential great bowl bid, but, at the end of the day, we beat you. The end.

You did beat is - no argument there - you guys played a good game today and gutted it out - I like to see PA football relevant again. We bounced back after the loss to you and Pitt seems to be hitting its stride now.

Yes, the committee feels PSU is better than Pitt. Obviously. If only there was a way to allow the players decide which team was better.........or.....wait a second......

we could just as easily have been there after beating Clemson if we could have held on against UNC and pulled out the OSU game.
Keep on whining and spewing your antiPitt manure. I'm sure you had a fun day in Bloomungton Indiana sitting with all the other pedophiliacs.

Clemson is MUCH better than tOSU? Based on what?

The Tigers have win about 5 games in the last minute. They often struggle to put inferior teams away.

Also, OKST, VaTech, and UNC are not good teams. One damn near lost to TxTech. VT lost convincingly at home to GT, and UNC just lost to Duke.

Miami was on a 4 game losing streak coming into our game.

Lol at citing each team's close game/losses. Yeah, losses/close games to inferior opponents happen. But they've still been consistently solid winning almost all their games and two of them were on the road for Pitt - not easy games. Can't really excuse Miami so much though, they've got talent but no consistency. That matchup was just a perfect storm with them reeling and how they always seem to own Pitt.

All these teams are hard to evaluate this year. I've been saying it's Alabama and everyone else, and yesterday's results seem to further that point.

Thats what I'm saying. How can you say definitively Iowa, IU, Minnesota etc are any better or worse than UNC, VaTech, or Miami? You can't.

Forget about the top 10-if they win out against two crap opponents, and OSU beats Michigan, those F'ers will be one win from the friggin' Rose Bowl. That would really, really suck for us/Pitt.

Eh, we can debate stuff like this all day. That point is valid. But to just flat out say UNC, VT and OK state aren't good teams is kinda pushing it. They're all above average this year.

Really though, Pitt should have won at least one of those games, and if that was the case, we could easily be in the top 25. Regardless, I'll be happy with this year if Pitt can win out.

Yeah, they are better. Not by much. The bottom of the Big 10 is really, really bad. Really bad. And in our OOC we also played Ok State, and I can guaren****ingtee they were better than anyone PSU played OOC.

We beat Clemson at Clemson. They beat tOSU at home. Big difference. Big difference. Both were great wins.

I think there is no argument here, where there would be an argument if an 8-2 PSU would be ranked ahead of an 8-2 Pitt (if we won those games against VT and UNC).

Ohio State would beat the Nitters 10 of 10. OSU played a terrible game. Iowa had a bad day as well.
Plus they play an easy schedule.
I'm on the record next year wont be as favorable for the Nitters!
