Aaron Donald...

Typical of the game today, anytime there were highlights of their game shown, it was one of their offensive TD. Some Girly run that was OK but nothing special. I'd never known of this unless i happen to have browsed this board here tonight.

Just took the ball from the runner’s arm as he ran.
Did they make him give it back?
What a bully.
That should be a new rule along with all the other ridiculous NFL rules.
I'm sure that RB feels bad, has hurt feeling, and is less of a person today than he was before Donald took his football.

-2 years ago I wanted to trade both Leveon Bell and Antonio Brown for 2 stud defensive interior lineman, Aaron Donald being one of them. I was called an idiot on this board wanting to fix the Steelers hopeless defense

-2 years later Bell is a proven quitter and Donald is well on his way to making his case to be the best defensive player in the history of football and is leading the Rams with an undefeated 7-0 record

-I still remember the game n 2015 Donald broke Justin Forsetts Arm then tore the MCL and ACL in Joe Flacco's leg, single handily destroying the Ravens entire season in 1 game

He can play in any system.

I don't think people realize what the requirements of a 2 gap player are.

1. You are taught lateral stalemate not horizontal pressure at the los.

2. Being an up the field penetrating player puts the entire integrity of the front 7 in limbo.

You must constantly read hats. It's why you see so many DL in a 3-4 in a neutral stance and not a staggered one.

Go ask Laroi Glover and Warren Sapp about going from a penetrating 4-3, 3 Tech to a 2 gap zero or 4.

you're smart...and here I just thought a guy that has shown he can get under lineman or go through lineman with extreme quickness and agility in both instances would work in any system.. but I don't no nuthin bout birth'n no lateral stalemates...

A 2 gap DL is paid to allow LB's to make plays.

Warren Sapp and Laroi Glover were probably the best 3 techs of their generation and both made the switch to a 3-4 2 gap system and were very ordinary players.

Casey Hampton early in his career would often bull rush a center into the ball carrier. It looked awesome, it was awesome. I remember John Mitchell at the time saying as impressive as that is, it isn't ideal for the system. When a 2 gapping DL is getting zoned, he wants that dbl team to stay on him as long as possible for those ILB's to make plays. I've often seen coaches teach a 2 gap NT to play 2 men behind the hip of the ball carrier so there isn't a cut back lane.

The genius of the system is to have 3 players control 6 gaps.

Only an idiot coach would want Aaron to be in such a system. Aaron would never sign on with a 3-4 team that 2 gaps primarily.

He is in the mold of John Randle, Warren Sapp, Laroi Glover, etc.

The Steelers line is the least of their problems on D. Heyward hasn't been as good as last season, but is the best player on that D. They could use depth, but Tuitt and Hargraves are fine.

But for all of the blame their D has taken, they might be 5-1 if Roethlisberger is even decent against Cleveland and the second half of the Baltimore game.
