ACC Transfer Exemption

Damn....I thought this would be effective for the upcoming season....but I just read more on it....details below...

Any such change would need to be approved by the NCAA Board of Governors, which has placed a moratorium on changes to transfer legislation for 2019-20. If the new legislation is adopted, the soonest that could take place would be for the 2021 football season and 2021-22 basketball season.

This is a rule that helps the better teams, generally not the ones lower on the totem pole.

It's also a rule that would align basketball and football with all the other NCAA sports. For instance the Pitt volleyball team picked up a transfer today from East Tennessee and she will not have to sit out next season. The women's soccer team just got a transfer from Albany who was the American East freshman of the year last season and another player from Oklahoma and both will be able to play next fall.

I disagree. The better teams are already getting the better plays via recruiting. Sure the rule will allow players to transfer to the better teams. However, everyone can't play.

This rule would allow the lower teams to faster receive players from the top teams.

Kids wanna play and not ride the bench for 2-3 yrs.
