As we now know, the Fox Sports South/Raycom package that is syndicated to regional sports networks has continued. I think ESPN figured they were going to be able to get those rights back at a fair price but apparently not. Remember, they promised tripleheaders every Saturday on ACCN but as we get into the meat of conference play, that isnt happening simply because there's not enough Saturday games. Next Saturday will be the 3rd Saturday in a row with only 2 games on ACCN. There's also a boatload of men's basketball games on the RSNs. Considering this, its darn impressive that ACCN has got the carriage it got.

so no tripleheader on ACCN means what? No 5pm games? I actually liked that time slot, or the idea of it..

yeah alot of people switched to Hulu, Sling , etc to get ACCN and then the games are still on this crap AT&T sportsnet channel that those people no longer get now.
each week is a firedrill to find the game...
anyways if you have YouTube TV it is now on firestick.

That's why I am waiting comcast out. If I have to pay 3-4 months a year an extra 50 bucks a month on hulu or playstation for the acc network, I figure in the end that's the best play for me

Get DirecTV or Dish if you need ACCN and ATTSN
As I channel surfed Dish last night, I noticed they took FS1 and Big10 network off for now as they are fighting over fees. It may have been that way for some time now, I just never noticed as I don't typically watch those networks.

I didn't follow the SEC when their network debuted, however I've seen ppl saying that SEC also aired games on RSN when SECN debuted. It lasted up until the contract expired with the RSN provider.

I honestly believe that the ACC is fine with this because it was expected and planned for that ACCN would not be available in all homes. The RSNs give Comcast customers a small opportunity to view their team, until either Comcast caves or until the RSN contract is up.

Pitt has already been on TV more this season than any season in a long time. I'm going to bet ESPN has some kind first right of refusal but I don't know for sure so I'm just throwing that out there.

FSS/Raycom have 17 football games but I believe they get the last pick every week.

The ACC has 15 hoops teams which means there has to be other outlets for some of the games. They have Pitt scheduled for 9 games [give or take] so there are games left over for other outlets. They never said every game by every team would be on the network.

Not true at all. ESPN could very easily fit every conference matchup on one of its networks. Instead they jam in 6-7 conference games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They could easily add a Thursday slate of games like the Big Ten and SEC do but they dont have the inventory to do it since the RSNs get about 2 weeknight games and 2 weekend games.

I agree. I mean a person with even less than average intelligence can figure it out in literally less than 15 seconds. But for some people it would be like a fire drill.
Pretty easy for me too but yet every week we have a 3 page thread on how to find the game.
