Agree completely. We could literally lose the whole damn team tomorrow and the majority of this board would claim it's a good thing so Jeff can bring in some better guys that want to be there. It's crazy how some continue to be okay with this mess.

Unfortunately much of his 75% win rate down the stretch was the result of one of the nation's weakest OOC schedules. One above-500 ACC season out of 3.
i might add that he has been at TCU for 5 full seasons now, 4 of which with a losing conference record and one where he managed to get to .500 in the league. Four 7th place finishes and one 8th place finish in a 10 team league. 5th place in his .500 year when he had some players who were brought in by coaches who were later scandalized.
Pitt is terrible these days, and I didn't wan to see Dix get pushed out when/how he did, but I'm not missing the JD of the last few seasons at Pitt.

I don't want to in any way endorse the misogynistic post you're replying to, but I'm just curious as to how/why a lot of posters seem to think Lyke is doing such a great job, when the basketball coach she hired has made himself a mess of a program after three full seasons, and the football coach she extended hasn't elevated the program in any meaningful way in his 6 full seasons.
I mean it's nice that some of the non-revenue sports are doing well, but if your football and basketball programs aren't brinnging home the bacon, your athletic department is failiing in its most critical mission.

I don't care if he or she is blue, 2 foot little person , as long as she or he is doing a good job as AD, then who cares , but she is not doing a good job , so she can be criticized, we can agree or disagree about her job performance but let's leave all the other stuff out of it, just the merits of the job being done
Ever consider that she might have been tasked to build the non-rev sports where we were basically awful and tend to FB & men's hoops later? Buy time with extensions there and do the Victory Lights first? I'm not confident that the Chancellor has a clue.

This was a pretty good team 2 months ago. Good enough to have been on the bubble if it stayed together — and with its core group with a TON of eligibility left. They could have gotten better together.
So I don’t necearily buy that their wasn’t progress towards were we want to be.
Like most big problems, they are many times multi faceted. There were obviously some internal conflicts, but the force multiplier is the ease which you can leave. That snowballs into others because 1) the going gets even tougher 2) leaving is easy AND you aren’t alone doing it.
Ten short years ago it was like a mini marriage with players. Now it’s like HS dating.

I dislike at this time , not personal, professional, JC, PN, HL, does that mean I hate blacks , women and old white gym teachers? i like gym coach. gave us some good wins. i still think he turns the corner.
i feel better about pitt fb now than i did under chryst wanny and almost walt.
he has built a good roster albeit slowly. i still think he stays along time and has very stable success. 8 plus a year with some good years in there. my bar is too low but you can thank 30 years of thos program for that.
i want Capel to succeed but i really dont think he has it and his asst's will be the end of him
