ALL THAT MATTERED: 2 lame-duck interceptions, 2-3 huge drops, 3 trips inside the 10 without a TD

Those 3 stats alone were the difference between a big loss and a not-that-difficult win. We did this to ourselves; Ped State certainly didn't outclass us.

The red zone offense was the worst part of the game, probably still lose but would've been much closer.

Nice that the kicker gained a little confidence but field goals definitely won't do it against Oklahoma St.

Poor quarterback play, bad drops and bad play calling made a huge difference on the offensive side. Pitt missed key plays that weren't simply good plays by Penn State's defense. Not sure it would have been enough for Pitt to win, but it would have been enough to keep the game within single digits.

Agree they didn't out class us. The two picks were costly. PSU scored 24 points on offense. Pitt is young had we had good QB play this could have been a big win. Peterman was a really good QB. Browne is tina sunseri with no mobility.

A lot of if's and's or but's. PSU won and the score says they won big. Did Pitt play well. yes in some aspects but they dropped too many passes, took too many penalties and the turnovers were just too costly. Special teams did not look too good either, but the D looks improved over last year although the big plays were killer.
