I don't see where any of this is on Peterman. He throws the ball better than most Pitt QBs in recent memory plus has just as much mobility as Voytik.
I love these threads in the middle of the game that don't wait to see how it turns out.

I think the offense looked pretty darn good in the second half, and if I'm not mistaken didn't I see on the scoreboard at the ND game that Pitt and ND both had 322 total yards, I don't know what the final yardage was

Let's be clear about what really matters with an offense: That they can score a good amount of meaningful points, can wear a defense down, and do enough to help their team win consistently. Not the overall yardage an offense ends up with.
Tino had lots of late passing yards in games after an opponent had put a game out of reach for Pitt and after the defense he faced started playing a cushiony prevent. But he was clearly not an effective passer during close games and he never ever lead his Pitt to victory when they were behind in the 4th. Never.
Finally in the second half of the game today... We saw a little consistency with play calling on offense... And it really helped the offense look it's best it's looked in quite awhile

Yep scoring on the game's first drive, putting up 450 yds of total offense while scoring 30+ points, rushing for 250+ and having your QB throw for 3 TD's is certainly grotesque. Great insight.

At the game today and was sitting on the 45 yardline. Great seats. The one thing I couldn't stop seeing was a very withdrawn and distant voytik pacing the sidelines. Hard not to feel sorry for the kid. After seeing that site I think it is most probable voytik moves on after this season. I'm a huge Peterman fan he makes a lot more plays than he gets credit for. Lot of drops by receivers that would change stats greatly.
Agree about feeling bad for Chad V. He seems like a super person and team-mate.
Course if NP gets dinged up, Chad remains just one play away from getting back in there...

Tough to get demoted after you were the big man on campus. Tough going through a coaching change. Hope if he wants to transfer, he finds a good home.
I like Chad a lot. But Peterman is the better QB, and its not even close. He reads the whole field, CV does not; Nate's touch is much, much better; CV panics a lot faster and gives up on the pocket too early, etc.
If I were to rate college QBs on a 10 pt scale, I'd give Peterman an 8 and Chad a 4.

I loved Chad and what he did last year and grew better every game. I was worried why make changes?
However, it was always up to the Coaches, both Pat & Chaney to call that shots, and Pitt needed a Good Back Up at QB when it really did not have until Peterman came aboard, learn the system, players and coaches? Let us not forget Peterman and Voytik were both 4 Star QB Recruits, but one needs Game day snaps to advance not wishing instant success!
Let us not forget that there were three players Pitt could not lose at the start of this year. Boyd, Conner and Voytik. Yet, once Conner got hurt Pitt had to find a replacement and that took time.
Peterman in the Coaches eyes beat out Voytik and it took 10 Games to make that adjustment, just like last year it took Voytik to make adjustments to QB last year too?
Boyd and a few Tight ends were the only weapons Pitt had on Offense and if Coach Pat & Chaney wanted more, that meant more Passing and not QB Running and Peterman and all weapons came through in this 10th Game.
Now they have to do it against ULou & Miami and Bowl Game! All I know is today Pitt has 2 Good QBs now capable of replacing each other in case of injury, when we had just 1 at the start of the season.
Pitt now has Boyd plus other Wideouts after today, as well as 2 Tight Ends that Peterman is now using more and more that opens up Boyd even better?
Pitt has Running Backs and not 3 or 4 but Whitehead too! Can anyone tell me, that is a bad thing for this Team now???
All year long in the Preseason Predictions I posted every game as a Toss Up, or Toss up Win or toss up loss, because New Coaching needs time to adjust and institute their systems, attitudes, and mark on the games against other Teams and coaches well established, except for YSU that had New coach Bo Pelini?
The Toss Ups are still there but I still see Toss Up Wins for Pitt against ULou and Miami if the Pit players now execute the Coaches Game Plans, The Pitt Staff can hang with Iowa, UNC, and ND and lost all those games, but pitt was in it except for ND. Petrino is a till a Great coach and Miami still has Great Talent, Pitt can win both Games only if they play like today?
When was it that Pitt had Players and Teams that got better as the seassn went along by playing all 4 Quarters even in losses? It did not happen under Harris, Wannstedt, Graham or Chryst that much, under any of them?
It was always sputters and starts that led to letdowns either early in the season or late, lack of Special Teams making mistakes that cost games wins, or defense breakdowns, or bad Game Day Game Plans by the Offense with worse execution?
Under Pat & Staff this has not been the case in 2015. The Players as a team have played all 4 Quarters and yes lost to Iowa, UNC, and ND as they learned to do it is drips and drabs but they are showing they are learning it the Narduzzi Way!
It might not be pretty but if Pitt wins the next three games, big and better things will come to this Pitt Football Program, Recruits too?
This more than VT, GT, DUKE, UVA, and MIAMI did this year without a First Year Coach & Staff?
