Another offer

I'll take a comparison to Kyle Guy any day of the week haha. And he's got size.

Yeah, JC realizes he needs a Parker Stewart, er 3-pt shooter on the team!!

This guy has a number of decent offers, mostly from Big12 schools, and it looks like we’re coming late to the party. So who knows what our chances may be? Maybe the allure of playing in the ACC.

Let's hope he realizes that he needs someone better than Stewart, or he might not be cut out for the job.

Pretty well know story around here (cinci)...be a great add

Sometimes I feel more confident in late offers than early offers. Kids - especially kids outside of the top 50 or so- that have racked up offers but haven’t committed may not be all that enamored by their earlier offers and are waiting on other schools.

Kids like Wahab/Akok/Walker we were on for a long time and didn’t land.

X, Trey, Drumgoole , Toney we offered much later than a number of schools and landed quickly.

Champagnie and Coubilly seem more like kids we were on for a long time.

Every recruit is different- sometimes coming in late can is a good sign.

He's picked up 9 P5 offers in the past month. Consensus seems to be emerging that he can play. Should have 2-3 years of eligibility, too.
Haven’t seen him play other than 1 video. But I don’t care the level of the JUCO league he played in, the scoring average and some of the 40 and 50 pt games indicates he definitely knows how to put it in the hole from outside. We definitely need someone that can do that.

Has a lot of Big12 offers so who knows if he favors that league/area. But it at least indicates a number of coaches think he can play.

Well he's said that the ACC is "big time" and is excited for the offer. There's that.

He also recognizes that there's a huge need for him here to shoot 3P. He's averaging 4 3PA per game at his JUCO and JWF averaged 7.5 3PA here. I can't imagine that many schools will give him the opportunity to pull the trigger on the deep ball more than 7 times per game. In 3 years he could easily crack the top 20 3PA in ACC history.

He's pretty sweet I don't care if he was playing grade schoolers. When someone shoots around 90% from the Foul line... that tells alot.

He averaged 4 MADE three pointers per game, not attempted three pointers.

Thanks for the correction. Even better - he's used to a standing green light from 3 and we need that. Not sure what TCU and Minnesota might need but as JWF showed this year, if you can shoot you'll get plenty of opportunities here.

Almost 50% from the floor and 43% from beyond the arc. We need him.

I don't think anyone is going to question his shooting ability, but if he can't guard people he won't play much. Capel had a pretty quick hook when players were lackluster on defense. So hopefully he's a gritty defender too.

Yeah, he averages 4 made threes per game, but 29.7ppg. So he finds a way to score over 17 more points from inside the three point line.

Have to assume he’ll guard well enough or they wouldn’t have offered him.

But can he defend? Remember, the object of basketball is to stop the other team from scoring, not actually scoring yourself.

The fact that you and a few others can't seem to grasp that the point of the game isn't to score points, it's to score MORE points than the other guys do, is both hilarious and frankly kind of sad.

When you can’t score you can’t score more points than other teams .

Winning 50-45 is better than losing 90-80. I know that a comment like that makes your skin crawl, but it's still true.
You’re wrong once again , winning is what it’s all about , but if you can’t score 45 pts you’ll lose 45-44 ! If someone doesn’t step up and take over JWF position Pitt won’t win many conference games next season .

You’re wrong once again

I'm wrong that winning a low scoring game is better than losing a high scoring game?

You are getting yourself back to that point where you are posting such ridiculous stuff that you might need to walk away from the keyboard again.

You can’t even understand the written word . I said that winning is what’s it’s all about . Is that too hard for you to understand . Winning never makes my skin crawl., but watching guys throw up bricks sure does .

Right, you agreed with my point right in the same sentence where you said that I was wrong.

So which is it, was I "wrong once again" or "winning is what it’s all about"? Because I'm the one who says that it's all about winning and that there are lots of different ways to win, and you are the one who says that you have to score lots of points to win.

If you'd rather lose 90-80 than win 50-45 then you are right. If you'd rather win 50-45 than lose 90-80 then I am right. Which is it?

Geez how dense are you ? Your wrong in thinking I’d rather lose scoring 80 pts vs winning with 50 . Winning is the prime objective.
