Another slight decline in college attendance

College football attendance was down 1% this past year as it was a year ago. It is the 6th year in a row that attendance has declined. There are probably a lot of reasons but the fact that most games are televised has to rank near the top.

Pitt averaged 46,076 down 4% from a year ago. The average for all schools is 43,106.

A realistic goal for Pitt is to build this number to 50,000 per game. The ACC Conference averaged 49,827.
