I’m rooting for Rutgers (Brandin Knight) and St. Bonaventure (Tray Woodall). Nice run by the Scarlet Knights against Clemson at the moment.

Edit: I am/was also pulling for Mizzou (local school) and Cleveland State (family friends).

I was actually very happy to see Rutgers win. I would’ve felt bad had they bottomed out after missing the tournament last year- in what should’ve been their first appearance in forever- due to the pandemic. They’re one of the programs that I felt truly “deserved” to make it this year.

I’d like to see Loyola pull an upset on Illinois, as Moser is a fantastic coach. Im a big fan of the Hurley family so whether Bobby or Dan are in, I usually will pull for them. Realistically, it’s just time for Mark Few to get a title. They took a few punches from BYU a few weeks back and came out on top, but I always worry about the competition factor with Gonzaga as they get deeper and start seeing teams closer to their level.

I actually chuckled at that. Georgetown hasn’t had that edge in a long, long time. The college game is better when Georgetown is back to having that hard ass identity.

I watch it when I can but I'm not glued to the TV like I used to be. The long, slow decline of our program has squashed most of my interest in the game for now. I still watch our games but that often feels like a masochistic chore.

Not a shocker that the Hoyas are being handled. The BE is down this year, and the Hoyas were a bid thief. They were over seeded because they came out of a major league. They should have been a 14 seed, the way a bad bid thief out of the A10, AAC, or MW would have been, because that's basically what the BE is with Nova missing Gillespie.

Lets say Clemson gets a rebound with 9-10 seconds. What are the chances of them making a basket in that time? 10%?

Now add in the fact that you have to stop Rutgers first. What are the chances you get a steal or stop then a bucket in the last 38 seconds? 5%?

Now what are the chances of Clemson winning by fouling with 38 seconds left and sending Rutgers to a 1 and 1? Well, Rutgers's win probability according to ESPN was only 71% at that time. Guys miss 1 and 1's all the time. Even had he made both. They could have come down, hit a 3 then fouled again for another 1 and 1.

I'm the same way. I watched a few Pitt games this year when I was in town and had the time. But this tournament? It's not of any interest to me except I have some money in a pool and will wait to see if I win after it's over. Not watching any of the games.
