Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Michigan State, Missouri, NC State, Minnesota, Iowa to name a few.

In a year when win-loss record means nothing in getting a bowl, how many of these schools will opt out?

I predict none.

Opting out by Pitt should leave no doubt of how serious ( or not ) Pitt is in being a big time football program. This is NOT the move of a school that takes football seriously and its bullshit.

The bowl game Pitt would play in would be just after Christmas, allowing the kids a week to 10 days to go home. That is such a lame excuse.

A decision like this suggests Pitt is quite happy where they are. Sure, they give lip service to " being better", but as I said, it's all bullshit.

They might as well keep Narduzzi as long as he wants to stay here......keep pumping out 6-7 win seasons and be happy with the same mediocrity we have seen for 35 effing years.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz now go lather up with Jerry sicko
He happens to be right. We really do not care about big time football. Pitt Athletic administration is happy getting participation trophies and that ACC money at the end of the year. Sorry to say but it is and I have seen it first hand

I bed to differ and have common sense of what's going on in today's society. These players have gone through enough this season goadie. You of all people should know what it would be like as a player during these times. I'm not excusing some of the lackluster performances of the year and have been very critical of Whipple, Borbely, and Salem. But oh well

Always blame the fans. LMAO. McDonald's won't be serving turd burgers at 8 bucks a pop,, and if we eat enough and support them, they might upgrade the meat, doesn't work that way , but economics is lost on many these days

Open up your eyes next time you attend a game. We were a Top 5-10 program in the country from 1975-1983. In 1984 we started the year with 40k people at Pitt Stadium against BYU and ended the year with 20k at Pitt Stadium against Tulane. Pitt fans have always been bottom of the barrel in regards to their support.

I'm waiting for you to answer my question in an earlier post where I asked you on how serious you take it?

I havent attended a game in 5 years. I have never donated more than 50 bucks.

I have endowed not one but two athletic scholarships. Heather has my cell on speed dial.

What exactly is the difference? Pitt isnt committed to big boy football whether I support or not. They simply take ACC money to pay the bills.

You should turn on a tv. There’s 300,000 Americans dead.

Glad Pitt made the right move. I am sure a lot of other teams and bowls will also

not right...........if we went to a bowl game, the kids would not be able to go home. You can't send them all home and then have them come back right before the game. It would be a mess.

if the game was DEC 26-28 the kids would have a week to 10 days before the new semester started.

Under normal circumstances, yeah. They probably would like to play.

However, recently, a lot of players moving on to the NFL have been choosing to skip the bowl game and not risk injury before the draft.

Empty stadiums, no atmosphere, constant testing and protocols, preparing for games that you don't even know are going to be played until kickoff. I can't blame anyone for wanting to end it now and skip out on a trip to the oasis known as Birmingham, Alabama.

I'll add that having to stay in quarantine for another few weeks is probably enough to say screw it.

BC Pitt UVA, Stanford.

Anyone have the nuggets to admit a pattern here?

Wake me up when a school that takes football seriously opts out

I'll wait......

It's your reality wake up call....

Pedst who covered up the habitual raping of children to not hurt their football opts out of playing a bowl game.
