Coming in for Backyard Brawl with 6-8 Mountaineer alum. We will be headed to Dancing Gnome, Grist House and Hitchhiker. I also like Cinderlands. Any other EXCEPTIONAL new craft joints that focus on NEIPA or fruit sours? Thanks!

Roundabout is a good brewery but I haven’t been there since the haze craze. But I’m a big fan of their IPAs. Can’t go wrong with the ones you mentioned above. Insurrection is good too.

Can’t help on the fruit sours but maybe look into Strange Roots.

Right on! Thanks King! The margherita pie on the home page of Insurrection’s site looks incredible.

In fairness, we will probably just remain at Dancing Gnome, despite mentioning the others. It’s just such a killer brewery. I predict they expand the tasting room within a year. Just too small on can release dates. Brew Gents good too but just too far out (Braddock).

I’ve eaten there a few times. It’s not bad. I assume you know this but the ones that don’t serve food get food trucks regularly.

And yes Brew Gents is quite good as well. Forgot about them.

It will be interesting to see Dancing Gnomes direction. They’ve gotten national attention.

If anyone is into spirits Wigle Whiskey and Maggie’s Farm are supposed to be good. Not usually my thing although eventually I will try someone’s run or vodka if any of them make it.

They're going to expand, Andrew has mentioned it on some podcasts a few times. As for Insurrection, their chicken wings are absurdly good. If you're at DG you should stop by the Hitchhiker spot too, it's worth it. Have fun.

Try Allegheny City Brewing.
Might also want to walk over to Strange Roots from Grist House.
