Interested to see who they send this weekend. Last year Nino, Phillippi, Matthews, Heller 165, Augustine, Pitzer did not attend.

Teams normally don’t send their top guys?

2022 placers
1st Stout
2nd Camacho, Badgett, Heller 184
4th Meglino, Slinger
5th Keslar
6th Laffey, Pletcher
8th McCorkle, Miller 174

2022 participant (18 total):
125: Colton Camacho
133: -
141: Briar Priest, Emory Taylor
149: Tyler Badgett, Ty Cymmerman, Kelin Laffey, Brock McMillen
157: Collin McCorkle, Jack Pletcher
165: Jared Keslar, Tye Weathersby
174: Carson Miller
184: Reece Heller, James Lledo, Nicholas Meglino
197: Geoff Magin, Mac Stout
HWT: Jake Slinger

Sorry not sure why it’s not working but here are the starters going are:
Camacho, V Santa, Solomon/Badgett, Keslar, Reece Hellar and Stout

Plenty of others though. All the iltrue freshman plus plenty of important depth guys like Michaels, McMillon, Laffey, etc

20+ Panthers are signed up

Any idea why Michaels wasn't a part of the 149 group at blue/gold? Did he just not make the top 4?

Looks like the entire roster is registered, except for these 11:
Ajabu Crews
Cole Matthews
Connor Swaim
Daniel Gurovich
Dayton Pitzer
Emory Taylor
Geoff Magin
Holden Heller
James Lledo
Luca Augustine
Ty Cymmerman

Thanks. With exception of Camacho. Seems to be excluding juniors and seniors.

Not sure where they came from but (some?) seeds are posted on this Flo article.

125 - Camacho 5 seed, in the same quarter same half as #1 Ramos who beat him here last year 6-3. 4 seed is a George Mason soph who had a solid season last year.
133 - Vinnie unseeded. Top seed Bouzakis should be a heavy favorite, and Bo Bassett is here too. It's not as deep a field as 125 so I'm excited to see what VS brings
141 - Priest is listed as the 3 seed, with Ant registered but unseeded. Jesse Mendez is listed as registered also but not on Flo's list of seeds. Greyson Clark from Purdue was a big recruit, he and Ant are probably two of the favorites after Mendez
149 - Finn is the 8 seed, will likely face (1) D'Emilio if he advances. Badgett, Michaels, Laffey, Pletcher (and Jack Marlow) all in the field and could make some noise if they land on the bottom half. Dylan C is the 2 seed
157 - this is where the seeds cut off for some reason? We have five entrants including Keslar, Evans and McMillen. Keslar will prob. be seeded. Ohio State's Paddy Gallagher and Purdue freshman Joey Blaze seem like the guys we'll have to beat here.
165 - Only Grant MacKay for the Panthers. Ogunsanya from Columbia is the favorite, not a great field otherwise.
174 - No entrant for Pitt. Waynesburg's Rocco Welsh is debuting for Ohio State
184 - Reece is back after being pinned in the finals here last season. Purdue and Ohio State are the main hurdles in his bracket
197 - Similar field to the one Stout rolled through last season. Geog for Ohio State is an interesting potential finals opponent
285 - No entrant. This should be a welcome back party for Nick Feldman

FYI, the 5 seed wouldn't catch the 1 seed until the semis. Camacho's quarters matchup would be the 4 seed

6-1 so far (only loss Michaels to a ranked Purdue guy) but all three 125s have very difficult R2 matches. I would prob be happy if 1/3 won

Camacho wrestled pretty well. Scrambled to a takedown and led 5-3 in the second before Forrest went feet to back for 3 and two sets of 4. Not much else happened.

I know it's a pipe dream, but Bo Bassett is sitting in the middle of our team haha

3-1 in the second round at 149. Solomon, Pletcher, Laffey make the R16 but Badgett got worked.
Laffey has a super high ceiling, imo. Really impressed with him so far. Ant at 141 looked great too

My son, Tebo, not wrestling physical enough. Saw some good stuff, what coaches are working on, but as they told him he needs to push the pace and get on his shots.

Feel free to give your opinions on him, just keep it above the belt. Lol
Honestly I was impressed in his match vs. Palmer that he didn't get teched considering he was down 13-0 going into the third. Most kids in their first college tournament, against someone who made RD16 the year before up a weight would just accept their fate and give up the tech. 2nd match wasn't pretty but impressed with how he got the job done. Binni match was winnable but I believe he will get there as the year goes on

Vinny goes down to Basset 13-10. Real back and forth match, up 8-2 early, then Basset went on 11-2 run to get the comeback win

Priest and Ant don't wrestle, also no finals match at 141, not sure if this is from people already wrestling 6 matches or coaches decisions

Finn drops the match 12-4 to returning AA D'Emillio, had the first takedown then D'Emillio really turned it on
