For $100,000,000 in 2016 dollars, The New Pitt Stadium could look like this photo.
For $150,000,000 in 2016 dollars, The New Pitt Stadium would have CLUB boxes on both sides of field extending the entire length of stadium, 2 HD Scoreboards, and a 1000 car parking garage.
It would all fit on the OC Lot in conjunction with the Cost Center. It could even be two levels instead of bowl shape, but I think the consensus is for a bowl stadium. 50,000 seating capacity.

UCF MASTER PLAN FOR STADIUM / Personally, I like the www.newpittstadium.com plan

I think those cost estimates are reasonable.
I also think its reasonable to assume that actual cost will be 3 to 4 times that.

Do you have an estimate for the border wall Mexico will build if Trump wins?? Which renowned architect provided those silly numbers?? And what's in it for you??

I say that we hire (to build the new stadium) the same Mexicans who will build Trump's wall. That alone should knock-off about 40% of the labor costs.

Not at all. 400,000,000? That has not been the case anywhere in the USA. In fact, North Texas State is trying to go D1 and they have a cost projection of $80,000,000 for a 30k stadium.

Land acquisition and clearance for us on the OC Lot will be minimal. My friend who is a Civil Engineer reviewed the topographical maps for the OC Lot and the need for grading and erosion are neglible factors. The New Pitt Stadium at 50k will cost at maximum $150,000,000. If we want this stadium at that price, The UCF master plan would do it.

LOL.

You're relentless, I'll give you that.

But there isn't going to be a stadium on campus in your lifetime. Or your kids' lifetimes.

The unrelenting presentation of facts and evidence always lays waste to the rudeness and stupidity of the ignorant without ever having to acknowledge them.

There seems to be a fool ranting in the negative again. Angry and stupid are not anyway to progress. A lack of professional acumen on the subject appears often with these sorts. And the great play goes on; and you may contribute a verse. Wouldn't it be sad if all some did was contribute a "yinz"?

I also like the newpittstadium.com idea but I'm biased because my 12-year old cousin did the graphics.

You have obviously never created anything professionally in the field of architecture nor urban planning. Infact, perhaps you might start with crayolas. Because of this incompetence, please don't wonder why your remarks are not ever taken seriously on this matter. Please post any professional work that you have done in either field. Then we may get a better understanding of your professional background.

Could we have a real live Panther on the sidelines if we upped it to $200,000,000?

Had one in the 1970's. He lived at Pittsburgh Zoo and made caged cameos at big games. I think ND v Pitt in 1982 was last one.

Disagree with this in part. Pitt is going to have an on campus stadium, I have no doubt about it. In my lifetime (I'm 48), probably. While I'm able to walk the stadium steps on my own without assistance? Doubtful.

I just don't understand why people on each side (not you in particular) get so angry about it. Circumstances, city politics, financial priorities, almost anything can change in 20-25 years.

A generation from now Pennsylvanians probably will be able to buy beer at a gas station, purchase recreational marijuana, and place legal sports bets at a local casino. An on campus stadium for Pitt someday isn't totally outlandish to consider.

I know it ain't happening anytime soon though.

I give you credit for your efforts. You really need to meet with Barnes. Go for it....

Yes, because you and your remarks are clearly taken VERY seriously on this matter.

Awesome work, thanks for sharing this.

On a side note, can you let me know what projects your friend, the civil engineer, has worked on. I'd like to avoid them at all costs. Gracias.

If this would go in the OC lot, which I doubt, where would those not able to fit in the garage park. That lot gets full now, where would those people park. I do like the rendering.

Just because someone drew an egg new to the Cost Center doesn’t mean a stadium will fit there. Look I have great memories going to games at PS but I am also fine with HF.

OC Lot fits the entire footprint of Old Pitt Stadium with the Cost Center remaining completely intact. www.newpittstadium.com has architectural drawings of it all. Please visit and be illuminated.

Thank you. AD Barnes and President Gallagher have already commissioned an urban planning firm to design a new plan to build the new Pitt Stadium. Plus we have the GSPIA study.

Go to www.newpittstadium.com In the plan, parking and people movement are covered on pages 20 to 25. Parking is the suburbanites neurosis that people in urban centers laugh at.

Just because you add nothing to this discussion means.....well nothing. I encourage one of you to please debate the facts of building a new stadium. You'll find you have nothing to say.

I am no engineer but the drawing looks crude. I can even imagine where the parking will be but have at it. Where are all the supporting drawings with side views, structural views, details, etc. ?

Also, no need to attack us for asking questions as we are all PITT fans
