I'm sorry, I don't subscribe to the belief that an anti-gay, or racial slur should automatically be a fireable offense.
Huggins is a thug, but wins carry more than losses, let alone a stupid comment. The hoopies have a bad rep, but a dozen or so are decent.

Well, there is one word that is an automatic firing. Everything else is case by case. In this case, you dont fire a HOF coach who has a Top 5 team coming in for saying that. Fines and suspensions are fine
No brainer decision for WVU. They already don’t care about Huggins ethics or morals so just letting him finish this team out and move on and pray Joe Mazulla somehow gets fired from the Celtics is the move.

Im not really impressed. If he were all that, his team would already be in the Eastern Conference Finals. I think almost any coach could easily have the Celtics in the same position. It's not like he had anything to do with building this team.
And if the Celtics were all that enamored with him, they probably wouldn't have waited until mid-February to take the interim tag off. He was yanked from Fairmont St and spent one whole year as a C's assistant. Right place, right time. Does he even have any major college experience?

But seriously, think about what you're advocating. Mazulla has no major college coaching experience. He was passed over by Stevens when he went out and brought in Udoka from Brooklyn. Mazulla is taking over a championship contender basically by default, and if he fails spectacularly enough to get shit canned by Stevens after 4 months, you think he would be an attractive choice for WVU?
I feel for Mazulla. He's in a tough spot. But it's obvious he doesn't have a ton of respect from his team. I can't even believe Marcus Smart was forthcoming (or crazy) enough to verbalize some of those sentiments to the media Thursday night.

Paterno may have been charged if he hadn’t died so I think that’s a moot point. It’s also pretty damn obvious he knew. If we remember correctly, Joe used to proclaim he knew what all of his scholarship players were doing at all times. But he doesn’t know what his assistant is doing?

Sandusky was raping little boys at PissU back in the 70's, and PoopPants was there and knew about everything and let him do it. This is why I don't recognize PissU as a legitimate college football program to this day. They shouldn't even have a football program right now. It's no different now than it was back then.
