that cell phone video of Dixon shouting the defensive stat against Syracuse. Holding them to 37% shooting and dancing. That was entertaining for sure but I bet the Syracuse coaches show that a few times this week to the players. Tough to beat somebody 3 times in one year. The Syracuse motivation should be pretty high.

This is a question, I'm sure it will solicite some nasty shit, but who cares: we all work, we are either leaders or work for leaders. Some are good, some are bad. When we have won recently Dixon goes out of his way to counter his detractors. Our schedule is fine, our offense is great, we win plenty. When we had strong leadership we were fine. But kids react how their coach acts.

To at least some extent, there may be something to this. But what Dixon says to the media and his team are not necessarily the same thing.

If a bubble team needs extra motivation to give it their all, it's already a loss.

Dixon's comments won't make a difference. If Syracuse wins, it'll be because they played better and not any motivational factor.
