Was driving late this afternoon and happened to tune into the FAN and kept listening when I heard them talking to Dontez Ford. I think they had him on because of his ACC scholarship award. Anyway, he sounded good and they kept him on for a few segments.
Dontez talked about the work he did for one of his Pitt classes to raise money for the baseball/softball teams at StoRox HS.
Couple things I remember. He said that Jester, Folston and Ffrench are some of the funnier guys on the team. He said that Geroge Aston is tough and might be the last guy standing if the team was put into a room to duke it out. He said George just can't turn it off. He said his approach would be to get out of the room before George got to him...
He said the fastest players on the team are Jester, Ffrench, and somebody else - can't remember the third guy... Kept referring to James as a "warrior." Said he knew Nate P. was good. Said he's not a fan of "Sweet Caroline."
He said the Penn State win was crazy good but he put the Clemson win above it because he said he got to play the whole Clemson game versus getting injured in the win against PSU. Said he's amazed at the energy and enthusiasm that Coach Narduzzi brings every single day; especially so early in the morning every single day...
