but the attendance figure was given as 39,290 on a Thursday Night vs. The Fightin' Steelers.

139,290, 39,290, 3,929,392,39,3.9.. doesn't f'n matter.

Get over the typical BS.. talk about how awesome Kenny P is and a defense second to none.

Second to none is kind of overkill don’t you think? I mean Clemson hasn’t given up more than 20 points in any game all season, they easily have the best defense in the ACC.

39,290 is really pretty good on a Thursday night with the Steeler dilemma, but I as I said I am not sensitive to the subject, I am rooting for Pitt because I want to see them do well , but obviously some are highly agitated by the subject, hence my ask for excusal for bringing it up.

39,290 would be a pretty good number. Of course it’s completely fictional. The actual attendance was much lower

Some of you guys are worse than PSU fans, obsessed over attendance. It is what it is. Why can't you just accept the number? If that is what is reported, then that is the number, unless you want to do a handcount. Pitt is a city school, with a large pro following. Pitt's attendance will never be what PSU and some others draw, so just sit back, enjoy the games, instead of complaining. It is wins and losses that count, not attendance.

It was a lot less than that.
Disagree. Extrapolating the size and seeing the fans I would have guessed 35k so the number is within reason. I was there so I know at least a number of 4 attending was correct.

And, I am amazed at how many collect underneath when the weather is cold and/or rainy.

35,000 would mean that half of the seats in the building were full. With the exception of some of the student sections there were NO sections in the building that were half full, and most of them weren't even close to that.

If they were trying to tell us how many eyes were watching the game then 39,000 might be in the ballpark. Even that would probably be too high, but it would at least have been reasonably close.

Right. You could have fit everyone in the lower level and it still wouldn't have been full. Actual attendance was probably around 15K

I read it all you dope.

Nowhere did I suggest the number matters to me but you somehow added 2+2 for 5.

Show me.....in this thread where I gave a crap about attendance. I merely asked a question that is relevant to this discussion.

The end.

Wow how nice...
The numbers matter to you how ....

I love how people can call people a dope or interpret incorrectly...

Post 23 for those paying attention.
