What amazed me about Stallings's 0-18 year is he beat all the cupcakes after his first 2 losses.

We barely beat Delaware State (6pts) who were next to last on Kenpom that year. We also lost yo Navy who were a sub 200 Kenpom team.

Yea but Navy was on the road in Game 1. In terms of simply coaching, Stallings wasn't even that bad that year. He had a mid-major team in the ACC without Luther and beat all the mid-majors somehow

Wasn’t that the 1st game of the season they lost to Navy. Pitt was a team full of mostly first year players playing their 1 st game together and going against an experienced Navy team if I’m remembering correctly? You really can’t cite that Navy loss as some big black mark?
