Not sure about many of you but Im a Pitt fan first and foremost. I honestly don't get the self loathing many of our fans have towards the program and University. For some, there appear to be greater loyalties towards the coaches who have been here than the Program and University itself.
Jamie has done a fine job here. I enjoyed watching his teams play. For whatever reason hes chosen to go in another direction and move on. I don't wish him ill will but I really am not a fan of his any longer as my loyalties and support go to Pitt.
I also don't think JD was the be all and end all of coaches. Yeah he had a nice run but the program was trending downward. The success the last five years wont be that hard to duplicate.
Barnes and company have earned the benefit of the doubt from me. They hired narduzi who has shown early signs that he gets it........unlike PC and those before him.
He got one of the top Coaches In all of Soccer to come to Pitt.
Before we run around claiming the sky is falling how about giving the guy time to announce JDs replacement. At least that's what you should do if your a fan of PITT BASKETBALL.
I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised. PItt top 15 money to offer, a great conference, a nice facility, and very good administrative support. The sky is far form falling folks.
