This is a good point. I posted elsewhere that Dixon is past his prime. But being in a tank with sharks will hasten the demise.

JD can out coach someone with similar or better talent in some cases, but not on a consistent basis. He is running into better recruiters and better coaches. That is a double whammy.

Dixon needs to go. He has served his time well at Pitt. But now he's stale. His recruiting sucks just like his coaching does in clutch situations.

It's up to the AD. He's been here long enough to develop a plan for Pitt hoops. Defending Dixon as he always does is insulting to Pitt fans.

Pitt's trustees love to throw money away, giving a small fortune to another worthless athletic director Steve Pederson and allowing that worthless A.D. to give money away to a coach in the twilight of his career.
