Barrels of money dumping would be more likelyMentally preparing myself for UPMC Field.
Would it be frowned upon if they replace the ketchup bottles with pill bottles spilling over when they reach the redzone?
UPMC is the most likely. Just aren’t all that many other candidates that don’t already sponsor other sports venues (PPG, PNC, Highmark). If not UPMC, who else? U. S. Steel? Alcoa?
The name is already universally hated and it hasn’t even been announced yet. The reality also is it was going to the highest bidder.Hopefully they do something like Acrisure Stadium at Three Rivers. I really hope The Rooney's get a ton of s***t for this(yes I know they won't).
I want the MAX CA$H I don't care what they call, paint the seats pink and call it Tampon Field, get PAID so you can afford players etc.Hopefully they do something like Acrisure Stadium at Three Rivers. I really hope The Rooney's get a ton of s***t for this(yes I know they won't).
Who's going to pay for that?*every american stand in unison to give this post a round of applause*
Are we convinced it will be a local entity?
The Steelers brand is worldwide.
Welp, there’s your connection. Does Tulco still operate under its own name? I’d feel better about them having the naming rights.
Yinzers everywhere will be calling it Aquafresh FieldWelp, there’s your connection. Does Tulco still operate under its own name? I’d feel better about them having the naming rights.
Worry about your own stadium name that is connected to giving out degrees.Gross.
If Starlake means anything, give it enough time and the name shall be Heinz again.I’m legit bent out of shape over this. I refuse.
they can afford the players already, they dont need to whore themselves out to the highest bidder in order to resign MinkahI want the MAX CA$H I don't care what they call, paint the seats pink and call it Tampon Field, get PAID so you can afford players etc.
That’s idioticHas the Steeler brand been so damaged by Art Rooney oversight and Tomlin's coaching that they couldn't get a company with a recognizable name to pony up the cash for the naming rights?
No. Just like no one in LA is going to call Staples Center whatever the new name is. In the grand scheme it's not a big deal, but it doesn't change the fact the new name is dumb.serious question, did anyone EVER call the civic arena the Mellon Arena? Ever? Even accidentally?
i assume you know nothing about money.
n’atWe will be calling it "At the shore."
I purposefully refused to, but it was more personal and petty; Mellon turned me down for a job out of college. Like Uncle Leo, I never forget when someone betrays me. F Mellon and whatever conflagration of initials it’s now known as, forever.serious question, did anyone EVER call the civic arena the Mellon Arena? Ever? Even accidentally?
Not exceedingly funny but a pretty impressive graphic! But I’m more used to Microsoft Paint renderings, I suppose
It's always been said that they don't have the up front cash to compete with richer owners on signing bonuses.they can afford the players already, they dont need to whore themselves out to the highest bidder in order to resign Minkah
salary caps are salary caps. one team is not giving more, they are just giving more now and less later.. its just re-shuffling the payouts, taking the salary hits now vs later and vice versa..It's always been said that they don't have the up front cash to compete with richer owners on signing bonuses.
Sheetz Stadium has a nice ring to it...According to Poni - Heinz Field is no more. The ketchup giant will not extend its naming rights deal for 2022. Sources say a new name for the stadium could be announced this week.
