Home field disadvantage???

They'll bring about 10K - 15K like they usually do. The majority of the stadium will of course be Pitt. I don't know where they got that false stat about 75% will be hoopies, but it's wrong. But what would you expect from a delusional hoopie media type? What an idiot.
They just look stupid and confirm the stereotype.

If you were living in West Virginia, I would want to leave and visit the big city.

That’s ESPN using Vivid Seats as its source.

Direct your delusional comments to the world wide leader.

It won’t be 75% but it will be a hell of a lot more than 15k.

Talk about DELUSIONAL! There will be tops 15,000 WVU fans.

We had 60,000 against Clemson. They were lucky to have 5,000 fans. This year Pre season Top 20 after a ACC championship. Pitt will have AT LEAST 55,000 fans there.

You are the one that’s delusional if you think it will be 15k

Straight delusional

WVU doesn't even sell their own stadium out, we’re expected to believe they’re going to sell ours out. I realize it’s a nicer stadium, but there’s no way WVU has even 15,000 there. More like 10,000.

Misinformation. Vivid seats is a reseller like Stubhub. There's no way they could have sold more than 2000 tickets, maybe not more than 1000. The vast majority of people in attendance will be folks who bought tickets directly from Pitt. Now, did 750 of the 1000 tickets that Vivid sold go to West Virginia addresses? Maybe, but its insignificant. Its part of the 10K-15K they will have there.

Buddy I know math is hard, but it’s mathematically impossible for WVU to have more than 15k in attendance when you break down the number of season ticket, student tickets, etc. there simply aren’t enough left for you guys.

The last time you were here, we weren’t good and had next to no enthusiasm for the brawl, and your fanbase was energized. You had an organized “pack Heinz Field” campaign. I have to admit, with the effort WVU fans were putting in to make it a reality…some Pitt fans had concerns. And in the end, I don’t think you had even 10K. Now Pitt has an energized fan base, while WVU does not

I don’t know why our time is wasted in these attendance threads every time WVU and PSU come to Heinz. I mean, when PSU was here (and they dwarf your fan and alumni base), there were actually threads here with high resolution photos of the stadium. And even after zooming in on every section and counting every single shirt that wasn’t gold or royal as a PSU fan, and assuming every navy, white and other color shirt was PSU, it still didn’t account for more than 20K.

go home.

I’ll give you 10K…14K tops. 14K is still 20%. That’s pretty good. Be happy with that.

I actually did that and did an analysis. The Pitt donor seats were over 90% Pitt. The most PSU heavy sections (not including their allotted sections) were like 60%-70% Pitt. There was a strikingly small number of PSU fans. But the white stands out so it seems like more

Oh geez. First off...who cares? Secondly, and I know this is hard for the idiots in wv to grasp, they will have 15k there. Just like Penn State. Renewed season tickets and student tickets assure that. There is no way that they believe it. Nobody can be that stupid. Seriously, if they bought every single ticket unaccounted for, they would have 20k. It's simple math lol

Bottom line, tomorrow is gonna be so much fun.

Many WV couples are cumin to the game

Empty containers make the most noise. That's why wvu fans are so obnoxiously loud, even when they bring only 10K fans. And that's about all they'll bring. Unless you're counting the drunks and sheep in the parking lots.

Let’s make a deal here. Once this is confirmed that the stadium is 85+% pitt fans tomorrow night, that we can officially STFU about heinz/accrisure being taken over by wvu/psu/Nd.

I mean it. We have this same conversation every single time we play one of those 3 teams and every single time it’s be dunked.

So again, if and when it Shiws that the stadium is mostly Pitt fans, we put this myth to bed and don’t bring it up again.

It’s like this massive delusion -
The biggest proportion of visiting fans was Nebraska during the flood game , since plenty pitt fans had other things to worry about than attending

Why is WVU so infatuated with attendance? I’d be more worried about the game itself. After all, Penn State brought 50,000 people in 2016 and they still lost.

because they are little brother… and they are gonna lose handily. At least attendance gives them something?

i recall ohio state fans overtaking pitt stadium and oakland back in the 90's. That's the one fanbase that says they'll bring 20k and actually short sell themselves..

There were plenty of husker fans around that weekend. I was out the thur night before at houlihans in station square and the whole damn bar was nebraska fans. and that was the thur night, 2 days before game. i remember that vividly because i knew the bartender and said very loudly, "when did this turn into a gay bar?" I thought it was funny but i had like 10 nebraska fans staring at me pretty viciously after that comment.

There are some places now where it’s said to be trendy to be gay in a gay bar even though you’re not. A bar full of Nebraska fans doesn’t sound like such a place.

I'd hate to be them if (when) they lose. There will be suicide watches all over the state of WV. They're so pathetic and sad all at once.
