Ignorant fanbase, thin skinned coach

I am not going to name names because we all want the same thing which is pitt to win big.

But it is an ignorant statement to want our most successful coach ever to leave and then to hope/pray/get lucky in the subsequent hire. Some of you might be right and we find someone better and more successful. But it is just as likely that we hire someone not as successful.
Totally agree...back up quarterback theory. Put somebody else in until he sucks worse and then change again.

Kind of funny that Dixon's coaching and gameplan doesn't get ANY credit in Wisconsin's dismal offensive perforance last Friday. They played the guys they did and the way they did on D to hold down a couple of Wisconsin's best scorers, and they did that to perfection.

Now, on the offensive side...I'm sure Dixon told the guys, OK, we're going to run these sets to get pretty good open shots or layups, now, BE SURE YOU MISS THEM!
I'm sure he coached Artis to make that boneheaded, momentum changing turnover pass, or coached Young to twice lose the ball off failed dribble in traffic blunders.
I'm sure he told Young and Robinson to run into each other on the last offensive play of the game so we wouldn't win, or he coached Young to let Wisconsin beat him for a rebound off a missed free throw.

Granted, you question not playing Luther more, but perhaps what you give up on D outweighs what you gain on O? Who knows, but the fact remains, if we hit just a few of those wide open shots, or limit a couple of turnovers, we win that game. To put so much negative angst in one flukey game doesn't make sense!

Reality is the dollar value to complete today.

Reality is that it comprised what had been previously three separate facility projects and Pitt footed, out of its operational budget, at most 31% of the cost no matter how you adjust for inflation.

So claiming that Pitt threw the total $ amount, no matter how adjusted for inflation, at the basketball program, and using that as an example of Pitt's willingness or ability to spend large amounts simply based on motivation, is more hyperbole fueled by a lack of knowledge about the project.

Me thinks even before the tourney JAMIE had contact with TCU. This wasn't an overnight thing fellas. That game againt Wisky so reminded me of Howland's last game here against Marquette when Zavackas took his shoes off knowing he was going to UCLA.
