Let's be honest, been a fun run with Pitt basketball but the more I've followed the college landscape the more I'm pretty convinced that water will simply always find its level.
Teams come up out of nowhere for a few years, go back and rebuild, then maybe they re-emerge and maybe they don't. Unless you're a blue blood or an elite school, there's no real staying power unless a team is willing to cheat like crazy to get there and stay there (UConn under Calhoun most notably).
I love college hoops, it's a fantastic sport to watch, but you're playing against a stacked deck unless you're a UK, KU, Duke, Cuse, UNC, UCLA, Arizona, etc that pretty much just sells itself with its brand and history.
I'm interested to see the roster in 2 years. That'll be indicative of Pitt's state, I think.
