Wetzel argues that ND has no need or desire to ever join a conference, but that the likely spot would be the ACC Coastal.

Well if they don't make the playoff after a win at Stanford then they clearly would have a reason to join the ACC.

The CFP will expand to 8 before ND joins a conference

Thus eliminating any likelihood whatsoever

They signed an ironclad agreement with the ACC that makes it the ONLY conference they could join before 2027.
