Lane Kiffin has been pulling double duty recruiting for Florida Atlantic while staying on as OC for Alabama. Is he unfocused for the playoffs?

It depends on how you define "vulnerable". Any team can have a bad game, and Alabama - while very talented - can lose to a talented team if they don't show-up with their A-Game. See: "Clemson versus Pittsburgh."

I like Pettis and Ross and the ability to stretch Bama's D. Different look than most SEC teams. That said, I think there will be the usual second half wear-down.

They are 19-22 year old kids.

They are vulnerable.
Anytime you have a team as such a big favorite to win it all they can be vulnerable. It is up to Saban to keep them laser focused on the task at hand. He is a master motivator as well as a recruiting machine. That said, should they have that smug approach where all they have to do is show up and they win, well anything can happen.

Considering they are playing for another national title, their 5th in like 9 or ten years, they could get a little complacent. If they let a team hang around and get some confidence, who knows? What sets them apart from others is a D-line that is so dominant and disruptive. They come to play every week.

It also depends on how much of the BS the media prints that they read and buy into. It is human nature to read those press clippings and the head begins to grow larger. Frankly, I believe that some of this lead to Pitt's demise in their bowl game, despite the magnitude of the game being much different. I think our offense came in thinking no one can stop them, since some of the very best teams in the country were unable to. In the end, they were not sharp, and made countless mistakes. It is all about focus and the desire to prove your greatness everytime you go out there. I think Alabama grasps that concept very well.

Alabama can lose to a team like Clemson. No doubt. I doubt Washington can hang though.

I don't know, don't count out Chris Petersen. He's been on this stage before and won all of them.

It's men versus boys. UW doesn't have the players to hang with Bama and UW will get manhandled along the LOSs. Only Bama can beat Bama.

I think that a healthy Pitt team would've hung more than seven points on 'em, but Pitt would've given-up a lot more points than Washington has.

Hurts was awful and they still rolled the Huskies.
I never thought I would say this but, I think Dabo and the boys might just finish the job this year! Should be an excellent national title game. I'm going Clemson 27 Alabama 23!

Clemson clearly is the only team with a shot.
