Very similar to the 2016 Penn St. team? New offensive coordinator, it takes 4 games to gel w/ the system and blocking.

PSU lost to Pitt 42-39 which is very similar to our 17-10 loss. A game that was winnable but wasn’t put away.

Their 4th game was the B1G opener w/ Michigan which they lost 49-10, much like our 1st game disappointment in in the UVA loss 30-14.

PSU played a really tough Temple team to a close 27-34 victory much like our close grinder with Central Florida. And they had an easy tune up against a Kent St. team much like our OHIO U game.

We can disagree about nuance, we opened w/ a conference game or that the 2016 Michigan team had more talent then UVA. UCF was a harder game then Temple but Pitt doesn’t have any in conference matchup with an OSU quality team.

Point blank, if Pitt’s line keeps playing better each week we have a chance to run the ball and Pitt’s a dangerous team. Knock on wood they can stay healthy and get the kicker rolling.
