He appears to have the ownership. Things are being run for and through him.

Ryan is doing more than I ever expected him to do.

Next year? Your guess is as good as mine.

Not sure they're running anything through anyone. Lots of balance so far. This team has no identity yet. They are still working through the basics of playing together. Luther is playing better than I thought though. Hey, he isn't All-ACC but he's solid. I'm glad he came back. Milligan is an even bigger surprise.

Next year? He'll be gone lol...

Maybe playing in Europe.

The team...who knows...maybe NIT.

They will be picked last in the ACC. Much better chance we have anew coach than Pitt jumps up 4-5 spots in the standings and makes the NIT.

Picked & what they'll finish is two different stories.

Obviously KS is gonna have to get a couple good recruits to add to this squad (Carr, JWF, Stevenson,...).

If that doesn't happen, 13-15th place next year is highly likely.

because the other guys have no idea what to do. No defensive scheme on this team

Which team are you referring to that will be in the NIT? Pitt has 0% chance of even sniffing the NIT in the next few years, until Stallings is gone.

I said above  that if we even had a shot at the NIT Stallings would have to add some quality recruits to next year's roster.

That is a big if...but I truly hope he does.

I agree Luther is playing much better but I don't agree that they are running everything through him nor do I believe the four other starters are playing well with him.

It looks to me like JWF, Carr, Milligan and Stevenson are passing the ball amongst each other.

Other than he is doing better than last year or the years before, Milligan is still terrible. They've found him a lot on the backdoor mostly against bad, undisciplined teams. That won't happen come ACC time or even with better competition. IMO Milligan is a liability because he can't get the ball out of his hands in time and is always a second late on hitting the open guy/cutter and he picks and chooses who he wants to hit. He dribbles way too much. And do you really think that little unnecessary hop he does in his dribble is going to last very long? Carr on the other hand could set up his players better but he can't seem to take care of the ball well enough. Seems heavy and slow. If he turns over the ball high in the half set he cannot chase his guy down to contest the transition layup or shot. Has nothing to do with him being a freshman. As a father of a once All American track runner, it will be hard to teach someone his age the type of speed he will need in the ACC. And we've got him for three more years. My guess is that he will come off the bench next year if we can bring in a true point. Milligan is faster but is not the most cerebral player. It's a shame that we would need Milligan to help out what was supposed to be a high recruit. As for rankings maybe the deal with us and Canada is that we have a quota to accept some of their better players even though they may not translate the same way here....,and in exchange they take our higher ranked hockey players. Go Penguins!
