thatd be awesome. the russel athletic bowl official page is listing the following article that predicts wvu and virginia tech:

https://russellathleticbowl.com/201...-favorites-to-meet-in-orlando-after-12-weeks/
If VT and WVU weren't going to be playing in the first game of the 2017 season, I'd agree with that.

Also... if VT wasn't playing in Orlando just 25 days earlier in the ACCCG. Their fans aren't going to want two trips to the same city in less than a month. And their administration isn't going to want back to back games with WVU.

Did anyone else laugh out loud when they saw those handwritten picks? Is that a 4th grader's predictions? We need that kid to get a job at newpittstadium.com to put together some renderings.
Sorry... I think I called it too.

;-)

Joe Giglio isn't a "kid".

He's a beat writer in Raleigh. He actually often has inside information from the head honchos in the ACC offices - which are in his town.

Pitt vs WVU and Miami vs Florida make too much sense not to happen. You have to believe a backyard brawl gets a lot more Pitt and WVU fans to make the trip than if either team was playing another P5 school.

FWIW, no way Florida falls to TaxSlayer Bowl. Even after losing to Bama, they would tie Auburn for best record at 8-4 and probably go to Sugar. I dont see how Florida would fall past the Citrus, Outback, and Music City bowls. In fact, now that I think about it, the Citrus could do Florida-Miami which leaves the Heisman winner for them in the RA. That screws everything up.

The NY6 Bowls go off CFP rankings, and I believe Auburn is ahead of Florida there, so they'd be the pick for the Sugar Bowl unless Florida beats 'Bama (lol)

In that scenario....

Louisville goes to RA, VT goes to Taxslayer, UNC goes to Belk, Pitt goes to Pinstripe, GT goes to Sun.

I think the Citrus would rather have Louisville than Miami.

There is no chance in this world that they would pass on Florida vs Miami and go for Florida vs Louisville. There is a better chance we make the CFP than a Florida bowl game passing on UF/UM.

This screws everything up. Hopefully the committee will rank Florida ahead of Auburn based on their division championship and road win at LSU.

How could a guy named Joe Giglio be wrong.
He's probably stacking it up and taking bets on the side.
I noticed his match up board is high tech.
Is he from Brooklyn? Or Queens?

Used to throwing his documents away ASAP....
I'd trust him !!!

It is so obvious that it should happen, VT plays WVU next year, if the Russell Bowl and ACC want a Sell Out, WVU-PITT is the far better choice. VT will show up too, but nothing would bring more excitement back in this region than a PITT-WVU Bowl Game.

Pitt fans will not show up. Our fan base stinks. Sit in the club watch the game on tv and tell each other how we are the best fans.

Listen, nitter. 15k flooded Annapolis last year.

I'm tired of low post count nitter trolls denigrated our program with backhanded statements . You have a conference championship game in 5 days.. don't you have somewhere else you can be?

The over saturation of bowls and the facts of a reward of a bowl game is now TV and exposure than fans in the seats. Bowls love the ticket sales, but match up for eyeballs are a important consideration.
