Is he coming back? All last season I heard he was coming back by Jan/Feb. I liked his hustle, I thought if he focused on rebound and defense!

He isn't in the transfer portal. I think he and Pitt are waiting to see if they can land someone better for that 13th scholarship. If not, he might be back.

Capel has too many options. He is good but not the caliber of the players currently on the team or the recruits especially Jeffress and Hugley.
He won't get any playing time.
Besides didn't he participate in senior day activities.
He was included in the Senior Day event - doesn't that indicate that he will not be returning?
It means that was the intention. Nick Rivers participated in Senior Day then came back. Sidy Ndir participated and then attempted or at least thought about attempting to get another year of eligibility.
