Miller and Hill...GREAT day for Pitt! *

Yep.
And I'll stand by it.
Big departure from Chris James, Russell Shell, Ray Graham, Chris Burns- all recent 4-star RB commits.

Talent level hasn't been Pitt's primary problem.

Talent level has been, and continues to be a big problem if you ever want to see have a title contending team. If you are okay maxing out with 8-4 or 9-3 type seasons, then recruiting has been fine.

Actually, I don't see this as a big deal. Every decent P5 school has some of these type of recruits. I'm not sure what kind of inferiority complex some of you have when you act like its huge news that Pitt actually beat out a few good schools for a 4 star recruit.

Recruiting wasn't a problem in the Big East. There, we clearly out recruited the rest of the league in Wanny's first full years, and while his classes got worse (until the mythical one when he was fired, which actually turned out a ton of busts) he was still at the top of the league.

Talent is an issue now as we have moved into the ACC. Graham and Bratwurst were both at talent disadvantages during their tenure and I know Bratwurst couldn't close the gap.

As for Narduzzi, no, it isn't a top tier class. But I think it is our best class since Wanny's first year. It is deep. While we may not have a ton of 4 stars, every kid at least has P5 offers, which is something you can't say about the last two staffs.

Strictly comparing us with the ACC, until we have Clemson and FSU type talent, where we can reload and have a realistic chance of winning the league in any given year, I'm always going to think talent is a problem.

Well we never will. But MSU and Wisconsin will never have OSU type talent yet they still play. The game is rigged , and we both know pitt will never have thst talent. The hope should be to have as much or more talent than the next tier and then occasionally get lucky in the ACC Title game.

Ohio State has put 13 players in the NFL the last 3 years. Michigan State has put 11, including Leveon Bell. 5 of Ohio State's players went in the 6th and 7th late rounds. 3 for Michigan State.

Michigan State won the Big Ten 2 of the last 3 years. Michigan State beat Ohio State 2 of the last 3 years. Michigan State will be the favorite to win the Big Ten next year.

-I don't know what you meant by MSU isn't Ohio State in terms of talent. MSU has outperformed Ohio State 2 of the last 3 years.

-To suggest Ohio State has some type of major talent over Michigan State is either craziness or laziness. The numbers don't lie.

Shouldn't you be polishing James Franklin's balls, troll?

A 3 year sample size? Great, thanks!

I was, saying in terms of recruiting btw, which is what me and TD were debating.

Sorry for sounding like a jerk, I did enjoy your post.

Narduzzi has already out recruited the past several Pitt coaches by a large margin, other than Wanny's best years which I think he is already on par with. Wanny got 90% of the best from the area, Narduzzi is getting good recruits from all over.

If we can get a George Hill type and other recruits we have like Pugh already, we will be getting even more when Narduzzi can just point to his success here. This is just the start here, I think 4 stars will become the norm soon for us.
