Pretty good summary of Michael and his consistency - at least averaging over the season. As we Panther fans know full well, when our upperclassmen show up, and play to their capabilities and expectations, we can be a tough opponent. When he and/or Artis take "time off" during the game, not so much.

I noticed there are multiple selections from some of the teams, so this was not just an endorsement for each school to have one of their players selected. There was a press conference clip from Nigel Hayes from Wisconsin embedded in the article - watch it, as he is quite a comedian!

Who was the writer earlier in the year (November?) who didn't then even have MY listed as one of the Top 100 players in the Country?

This same gentleman, however, had FOUR Florida State players on his list.

Michael Young has a major problem when he goes up against a bigger more physical front line. One of Mike's best moves is turning into the paint from the left elbow area and scoring over the opposition. When an opposing line prevents this from happening, Mike has a tendency to continue to try to force it and he ends up getting trapped and either losing the ball or getting off a bad shot.

In those situations he is more successful getting the ball on the baseline and trying to score inside the defense instead of over the defense.

When Mike is also hitting the intermediate jumper he can be a major problem. but Mike should be instructed to never stray outside the line to shoot. He has his limits.

wbr, I can't argue with your assessment. It appears to me, too, that when faced with a bigger, more physical opponent, is when he "takes time off" during games. I'm not sure how else to phrase it. Just wondering if one is connected with the other? I know this goes without saying, but JD must use his bench and all front court players wisely over the next weekend - and any days that may follow. On paper, it seems we should match up well against Wisconsin; the other teams in our bracket, not so much. But that may be why we are there and why we are a 10 seed . . .
