Gotta love the stallings strategy of letting them chuck up a ton of threes..worked so well last year and off to a great start this year!!!
Only 2 real players. They both need to average 25 a game for us to have a chance in the ACC. 9 wins TOPS. Maybe 1 win in the ACC if we are lucky.
glad that stallings improved free throw shooting...and now Stevenson gets ejected for a dirty play.

Yes it was. Saw him drop a few F bombs throughout the night too. Plus, he gave someone some crap over having to leave the bench after the ejection. Hopefully, he’ll grow up sooner than later.
If someone had said to me, "Hey 13-9, want to guess the complete box score for this game?" i probably would have been very, very close.

It's going to be a looonnnnnngggggg year. They're worse than I thought, and that's pretty bad. Maybe win 7 total, and very lucky if we win 1 in the ACC.

I didnt hate watching these guys.....definitely some skill and played harder and more together than we have seen in a while.
No it's not going to be a good season by our Standards, but I think our records better than a couple ACC wins. These are kids looking to get better, not guys running out the clock on their college careers.

Stevenson is a big SF can play PF too. I like his potential but the elbow at the end was the final blow & just not good at all.
Wilson-Frame is our best player by far. Too bad he couldn't hit either of his free throws late in the game.
This was a 50/50 game in my opinion. We lost. Time to move on and develop.

Yeah I absolutely will take this group over last year's any day of the week. I honestly wonder though if stallings is coherent half the time, very odd how he refuses to use a timeout, he has freshmen out there and he doesn't bother telling them to foul or not, I don't know if he said a single word to anyone that wasn't an official. Just a very strange lack of coaching in the second half.
Now we'll have to listen to the loser throwing his players under the bus.
Agreed. Team played together a lot more than I would have expected in their first game. I wrote them off several times in the second half but they didn’t give up. Shame JWF couldn’t hit those free throws to cut it to two. We are only going to get better. I won’t mind watching Carr and JWF, that’s for sure.

Agreed, Dixon did the same thing. Evans was even worse when it came to that type thing. I remember listening to Evans postgame on the radio on the way home and feeling bad for the players.
Pitt has not really had a personable, likeable head coach since Roy Chipman. Maybe Howland a little, but Chipman seemed much more charismatic.
Stevenson elbow was uncalled for, but dude also flopped like Tom Brady. Then he got up with a goofy smile clapping and laughing.

That kid was a jerk all night. I didn't like his demeanor and God only knows what he was saying to Pitt players. He probably had it coming. But Stevenson has to be smarter than that. At least his learning experience came in game 1 of his freshman year.
I guess being Canadian he didn’t think decking a navy player on veteran’s day was a big deal.
