Scott Barnes was brought in to Pitt to raise money and develop our entire athletic program. IMHO, AD Barnes was not the game changing leader. Unfortunately, he was hired to be more of a clerk. The people nearest to President Gallagher are "football" guys. They control the purse strings, and the ball. The stadium on campus will be covered in the new development plan being worked on by the urban planning /architecture firm Populus - (off shoot of the former and current HOK / built Heinz among a great many other stadiums ~ I can't say that they know what they are doing but they use a lot of steel beams). That is where the final answer will be given the thumbs up or down. I'd say it's 3 to 1 we get a new stadium. It could be Heinz and the Steelers go elsewhere... on the Mon River site, or we get the on campus stadium somewhere. I favor the OC Lot. www.newpittstadium.com
