The new commit - Henry Parrish reminds me of Ray Graham. Some wiggle to him and he squares his shoulders well to get tough yardage. Doesn't look like a real speed burner but he's a heck of a runner. Love his offer list....love his film...don't care about his star rating.

He's got some versatility, too. He's caught more than his share of passes out-of-the-backfield - something that our new OC must appreciate.

Great comparison, he does run like Graham. Not break-away speed but makes people miss on most runs. Welcome to RBU!

This kid has talent and gets results against top comp...like you said who cares about his star rating. Sign me up for another Ray Graham type back.

I must have looked at the wrong video. I didn’t see a hint of Ray Graham - no quick change of direction at all. Instead of planting the foot, he just takes smaller steps to make a turn. I don’t see that working in college.

Maybe he can learn, but IMHO, we continue to recruit backs who are not elusive...

Coach Duzz — Call Wanny for some guidance on RB recruiting!

Go Pitt.

And all the major, I mean, major programs...wondered why this cat didn't plant and go...yet they saw sumpin'...

Well I think his tape speaks for itself. Unless he's a head case or gets seriously injured this next year, I think he has the potential to be a great college running back.

Yeah, Ollison and Hall were terrible last year....

You guys are just so clever.

Okay, the video posted above by Gunga was much more promising than the Parrish video I saw. He looked quicker and I’ll admit he even showed a few quick cuts. Alleluia!

I’m encouraged to see that - I hope Pitt can help him develop further in that regard.

Go Pitt.

Good looking clip. Very shifty, one of those backs that defenders can;t seem to get a clean hit or wrap on. Appears to have very good vision. Also appears to have that extra gear once he sees his crease.

Not a positive or negative, but notable that he was playing in a one back, 3-4 wide shotgun spread offense where the OL had very wide gaps ala the old Mike Leach Air Raid spread. At Pitt he will be running between the tackles in a pro-set with much tighter gaps. I'm not sure how that will translate for a smaller, more elusive TB that appears to thrive in space, but I guess we'll find out. He certainly appears to run through contact, but a lot of that contact was with second level defenders.

Definitely a nice get.

Now how about a couple of TEs, WRs and OLs? The commit list is very defense-heavy as it stands right now.

All these rb highlight clips are the same. He looks great. So did Collier and McCoy and Lewis and Chris James and every other RB we got dating back to wanny.

Some will be good, some won’t play. But you guys. All said the same thing about salahuddin and Davis and sibley and every 4 star rb we signed and many never played.

But I doubt you guys have the ability to predict college success based on 2 minute highlights of him out running 175 pound high school linebackers.

I believe the tape that "Gunga" posted was to show "MajorMajors" that we did recruit an elusive back but is a tape of Vincent Davis from the 2019 recruiting class and not Henry Parrish our recent verbal for the 2020 class ..... so if your analysis above is of "Gunga's" tape you were analyzing Vincent Davis not Henry Parrish ..... I posted a highlight tape of Henry Parrish's junior season below for your perusal ...... from the little you can tell from a highlight tape, Henry also appears to have good vision, nice cutting ability, and good hands in catching passes ..... the concerns are his speed (he is certainly not a burner) and size ..... Henry was timed in the 40 yard dash in 2/18 (16 months ago so it could have changed) in 4.66 ...... I'm certainly glad Parrish verballed to us and think he has potential.

LOL--sure enough. I have to say, Vincent Davis looks better--and a lot faster.

I looked at both clips, but who was it against, a bunch of Florida Stiffs, what would these so called "elusive" backs look like verses THE DOUBLE U-PEE-I-A-LL

Correct, it's Vincent Davis and I was posting in reference to the Narduzzi doesn't get elusive RBs comment. I've loved the Vincent Davis tape since last year when I saw it. Very underrated commit IMO, and someone I think will be very good.

Never saw that clip.

There’s always room for a guy with that skill set-in any kind of offense.

Unless Shawn Watson is running it.

Hopefully Whipple has a touch of the Canada creativity. Take your most talented playmakers and kind ways to get them the ball. Simple stuff.
