They should take the 100 or so gold pants that they have on hand a donate them to Good Will. The only time they should be worn by the team is with a blue helmet. When they are worn with the gold helmet it accentuates the fact that the gold is horribly washed out.
I think the team is going to want to wear the blue helmets most of the time. They are bad ass.

Like with anything, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like them and with all of the combos they'll have available, plus the throwbacks, expect the team to look sharp.
But in the big scheme what I think means little. Maybe most importantly, they have received compliments and high marks from both recruits and the national media. Just win lots of games in them! That's the most important thing.
im with you Wanny, I know what you are saying. Regarding doing better at matching the gold from our helmet to pants, we should use ND's pants, they are a spot on match. I know they are Adidas and we are nike but I don't think adidas has the patent on that shade of gold.. Check out our helmets and their pants, its spot on.

Agree. Since jersey's don't have sleeves anymore, the stripes look weak since the only go halway around.
Why do so many of you seem to hate WPA people? So many of these posts are insulting, demeaning and rude. Don't you mopes have mirrors in your houses? I doubt any of you are as fashionable as you think you are. Anyhow the unis look just fine. The players and recruits seem to like them and that's what matters. I can't believe some are bitching because the shades of gold are wrong

And from what I read about what the recruits like, they like the all blue and all white. The matte blue is the big one they all talk about. I don't hear anything about the "gold".

Sorry, thought you meant the photos to the new Uniforms in your initial post. That Throwback looks good, except missing Stripes on the jersey. The Colors look perfect to me. Wish those Colors would have been the new Regular Uniforms and the #s on the Throwback look better in style compared to the #s on the standard new uniforms.
Not all of the throwback era uniforms had stripes on the jersey.
That Blue also looks darker in shade. I was referring to Photos that I saw of Marino, and did not realize the jerseys did not have stripes during the Dorsett Years. Seems like PITT FB could not stay with the same uniforms even back in those days.

And the yellow of the helmet, helmet stickers, and pants don't match perfectly. The National Championship should be duly voided. Because coordinated colors is what really matters.
Yep. The uniform manufacturer then was screwing Pitt over just like Nike is now.
And the PITT Script Logo on the helmet is Navy and does not match the Shade of Blue on the Uniforms(although I think the Away White Jerseys shown in photos from those days had Navy Blue Numbers).
