He plays for Nova Southeastern and they are 30-0. He is a very good all around player and his team is ranked #1 in D2. Storm Murphy was a 0 star entering VT. I believe Nick has 1 more year left and at the very least he could provide solid backup minutes at PG.

Sure why not. He sounds like he could at least do what Eze did in terms of minutes.

12.7 PPG at high D2 seems more like Duquesne level but also a backup PG for us. Not sure if he'd want to back-up in P6 or start at the A10 or mid-major level. Sight unseen, I'd rather have him than the kid from EKU.

I'd scour D2 for a shooter. Salem in WV has 2 guys with decent size who shoot ungodly percentages. Every team needs 1-2 elite shooters. I'd offer these kids.

He leads D2 in assists (8 per game) and steals (3.21 per game).

Seems like we can do a ton worse for a backup PG and not sure we could even land a starting PG as good as him.

You have to look at high D2 as like NEC/Big South/Patriot League level. Some of those guys can really play. But my God, do we need a shooter. Those guys at Salem are shooting 47% and 52% on volume.

Does he have a killer up-and-under move like his father?

He played 3 years, covid year didn’t play, and then is playing this year. Would he be eligible to grad transfer?

You might see Armoni Foster and IUP go against Nick Smith and Nova Southeastern. Both teams advanced.

Isn't he already in grad school there now? It would be a 6th year here, would he have to enroll in another grad program?

Good player at NH. Always outplayed Aiken when facing NA. Could have really helped Duquesne or Robert Morris I believe. Not sure he has the footspeed for the ACC. But considering what we got now I'm pretty sure he would be able to contribute.

17-18 Fr
18-19 So
19-20 Jr
20-21 no season
21-22 Sr

The question is, do players who didn't play at all in 20-21 because their school didn't have a season get a redshirt? If Nova Southeastern had a season and he had a season-ending injury in his 1st practice then this season, he would he a RS Sr with a Covid year left. But if they dont give those guys redshirts, then 20-21 would he his covid year.

Lol. A back up to who? Starts day one. On this team as it is currently comprised.

At lease he knows when to shoot and when not to shoot. His father never saw a shot he didn't like or take. I believe he still plays that way even now when he is 72. :)

Does he have any eligibility left? They will need guys to fill out the roster.

No idea. I am just jumping on the bandwagon messing with his father as I know he is reading this stuff.
