Coaching salaries are going to come way down with player salaries going from $0 to 7 figures in some cases. Duzz may end up the highest paid coach in the nation before long. I hope he sends Heather a Christmas card.

I do wonder the logistics of taking $4 million/year from Norvell to pay players. How does that officially work? The school cannot pay NIL but that's coming soon. Was his $10 million salary funded by boosters so now they will redirect $4 million a year to the players?

man, what a gut punch and slap in the face to the coach. norvell was a terrible extension and i get it from an FSU perspective but why on God's green earth would Norvell or any coach with any self respect agree to this?

basically 40% of your salary goes to "administrative costs." Maybe that's a bad way to put it but it's your salary that is no longer going to you.

if he wasnt such a pathetic awkward human being, he'd have told them no and made FSU buy him out for millions.. imagine pitt trying this with Narduzzi? Hey Pat, 1.5m of your annual salary is now going to NIL. Uh Pat, why are you packing your bags?

My guess is that Norvell was told that it was either be fired or take the salary reduction. How much money do people need? Norvell is set for life? He could take the buyout and be more set for life and go coach G5 or FCS ball eventually. But maybe the competitiveness in him still wants to coach at the big time because he believes in himself.

I hope AD Greene is taking notes because instead of firing Duzz if we go 5-7 next year, maybe we reduce him to $2 million or so and put the rest in the NIL fund.

you cant fire him, you can buy him out and im sure since he just got that extension, the buy out would be huge.

if dude had any pride, he'd have made them make a decision. Instead, his boss just told him 40% of his annual salary is going elsewhere. but norvell is a clown, i said it multiple times on here back when he was on our staff.
