Now that Dambrot is retiring, will the City Game return?

Probably. That could be the element that changed in such a public manner that Jeff can agree now without looking like he knows he screwed up.
I dont think it was anything against Dambrot. Capel just thought it was the best for his schedule to play someone else. Its probably the perfect storm though. Duquesne has a little juice now and may be a Q2 win sometimes and not a terrible loss if you lose. And if Dru Joyce gets the job, Capel may want to prop up an up and coming young African-American coach.
Still think you play it as a road game and make Duquesne play a few A10 games at PPG so we can count it as a road game. Maybe Duquesne could even schedule PSU or WVU every other year at PPG now as those programs may look to game the NET also. Duquesne is in a goos position to help out P6 teams trying to game the NET because PPG could get counted as a road game when the other team would have more fans in the building.

May you elaborate on this please? I’ve heard of a potential feud/history mentioned between Capel and Dambrot, but I didn’t want to further speculate in my OP.
Not sure what the deal is there... but when they haven't played the game it makes sense.
Someone close to Duquesne has said that the Duquesne side has acted a bit to brash for their own good over the past few years and it has soiled the relationship between the two athletic departments…not just Capel and Dambrot. So Keith is leaving but there is some mending of fences that still need to be made.
