time to focus on what lies ahead for Pitt:

1) win @ Miami; co-regular season ACC champs; #1 seed in Greensboro; NCAAT lock
2) lose @ Miami - no ACC champs for this year; either a 4 or 5 seed in Greensboro; still some work to do for NCAAT

Best case scenario? 6 or 7 seed in the NCAAT (we win out, including Greensboro)
Worst NCAAT scenario? We play-in @ Dayton
Absolute worst case scenario? We are a #1 or #2 seed in the NIT (which gives us another home game or two, and post-season action)

Until the 2022-2023 season, the Pitt Basketball program had six straight losing seasons! We never finished higher than 12th out of 15 teams. We were pond scum. A joke. The record this year, after 4 games, was 1-3, which caused most of the pundits to say, "there goes Pitt again" ... but the team found its chemistry, and winning became contagious. And the erstwhile team that occupied the bottom 1/5th of the conference was in first place with two games to go.

Let's enjoy the ride wherever this season takes us. And hope that the good that's come this year will spill over into following years, and our basketball program will become relevant again. H2P!

The thought behind my prediction (seed-wise) if Pitt were to win out, is that it would validate just how "weak" the ACC is this year

Let's revisit this if and when it happens. I'll bet you an adult beverage that we'll be no higher than a 6 should this happen
