2014 - it was thought that we had to beat 12 seed Wake to make the NCAAT. I remember that year our RPI was terrible but record and metrics were great (didnt use metrics then).

2016 - it was thought we needed to beat Syracuse in the 8/9 game and we did

2023 - we probably needed to beat GT in the 5/12 game and did

We needed just 1 bid stealer. 2 or more, we would have missed. However, had A&M and/or Miss St lost early or Colorado loses to Utah or Wash St or UVa loses to BC, those are 4 spots that could have been ours.
