Official Cuse game thread

LOL Pitt throwing 1 yard passes on 3rd and long to reserve WR's while SU goes long in 1st. And Dungey is back in.

Finally a third down stop! If Narduzzi doesn't take over offensive play calling here, I really don't know if we gain another yard.

We need to find a way to score a TD here. A trick play or whatever it takes. We need to get the lead. We won't continue to hold them.

I should also point out that the the cuse QB ends up getting another concussion Shafer is gonna be in major trouble

These pitches to the short side has to stop. The sideline is a defender, it's not working

Steelers used to run the other one they keep running...the overhand option style wide pitch all the time too when Mularkey was OC. Seems to work rarely at either level.

Our qb cadence needs to be more than snapping the ball as the Blitzer hits the line of scrimmage

Why do we even play offense? Our defense has a better chance at getting into the endzone even with how bad they've looked today.

Wow. Galambos keeps making big plays. Never would've guessed he would've been THIS good this year.

Rowell has hurt this team this year more than helped it. And it's not even close.

Touching an Official...2nd odd call with no replay by ESPN. Happened twice last week too. Is this normal or is my memory selective?

We may be one of the least penalized teams in the country, but the ones we do commit are beyond ridiculously stupid. No reason either of those two flags should've ever been an issue. Just flat out stupidity. In Rowell's defense though, I would have to see someone flat out deck a ref in the face to ever think he did it intentionally.

No. That is rarely called and believe me, players touch officials during games. Not sure if this is because of the high school officials getting decked or what. But you rarely see it.

Seeing that clip just reminded me of the handful of games in 2012 we had no names on the jerseys. Almost forgot about that mishap. Worse than the dinocat.

Because the receiver came up purposely in the direction of Whitehead, acted like he already caught it and THEN let Whitehead hit him. In fact he leaned into Whitehead. This is another thing that happens quite a bit during games and is rarely called mainly because refs see it and don't call it.

How is that crap? It's a dump fn play by whitehead!!
Contrary to this call, a lot have been questionable!

Back to back picks! If we don't get it in the endzone here, you really can't defend Chaney's offense anymore and be serious. I would not miss him if they fired him mid-game.

On the Rowell penatly, if you go back and look at the replay he was pissed off that they didn't call something against Syracuse (maybe a defensive lineman hit him low?) and after the play was over he ran right up to the ref. Unfortunately just as he got up to him they switched to a different view. However you could also clearly see the guy who called the penalty telling the referee "he pushed me".

If that is the case then it was the correct call, and it was really, really stupid on Rowell's part.

That goes to my other points then. Almost all of our penalties are dumb and Rowell is hurting the team more than helping it. You can not ever put yourself in that position.
