Has there ever been a line between two conference opponents in which the road team was favored by 50.5 points?

It is actually now at 54 in Vegas. Don’t even need to look it up, I’m sure it hasn’t happened before.

It’s almost a perverse pleasure watching Johnny Langan play QB for Rutgers. I don’t know whether to laugh at him or feel sorry for him.

That spread would have to be somewhere in the upper 60s for me to consider taking Rutgers, and probably at least 70 for me to actually do it.

The funny thing is that when I saw that 50.5 number earlier today the over/under was 56. So that means the "project score" would be around 53-3. Does anyone think that OSU isn't going to score more than 56 all on their own?

Probably 90+% of books won’t take Ohio St and over or Rutgers and under parlays, as they would certainly be considered correlated.

If you find one that does however, please let me know.

Even more amazing is Northwestern being a 39 point favorite over UMass. Im 100% positive a 1-8 team has never been that big a favorite over a fellow FBS team before.

Rutgers beat UMass by 4 touchdowns. I think that explains the spread. Whipple got out of UMass at the right time.

I think I like Iowa -3
I don't think I would bet that game. Just to hard to predict how either team will react. Iowa basically lost all chance at the big 10 west this weekend and obviously we know what Minnesota did. Just to many emotions to know haw 20 year olds will react

The sad part is I think it is a sucker bet taking Rutgers. Crazy.
If OSU wants to beat them by 100, they easily could. But I'll bet Ryan Day will be into his 3 deep by the 2nd quarter. I don't think he will want to humiliate them any worse than he has to. Of course his 3rd string is 10 times better than RU's starters.

It will be OSU-whatever they want to score, Rutgers 0. For that reason I think that either side of that line is a sucker bet.

I dont disagree. But, saturday was the greatest moment in those kids football careers.

A letdown is inevitable. Plus, Ferentz is a pretty good coach.

A small bet on Iowa for me

That game is at Iowa. That will make a difference. Iowa plus 2 seems like a reasonable bet. Iowa is usually very solid and sound, maybe not terribly talented or fast but fundamentally well-coached and they don't beat themselves. It will be interesting to see how Minny responds now that they're on everybody's radar.

I thought i remembered reading that Alabama has never covered a 45 or 50 point spread (i dont remember the exact number). Not sure if that applies to ohio state or not.

I don't bet games online is the a spread cap??
Why would games like this be eligible for wagering?
