If you count ND, then you have three ACC affiliated schools in the playoffs. I don't see that happening this year, but I would love to be wrong. What are your predictions for the CFP?
Mine:
1) Ohio State
2) Georgia
3) Utah
4) Clemson
5) Alabama
6) Oregon
7) Texas
8) Notre Dame
9) Penn State
10) Ole Miss
11) SMU
12) Boise State
Georgia over Ohio State in the National Championship.
I think my favorite part of this post is that you throw 12 teams into a playoff and still end up with a totally predictable ending that didn't need all of the extras to determine the outcome.
Not the best start but we’ll see how the season plays out. That’s kind of my wild card team.SMU that needed a disastrous special teams fumble to beat Nevada?

SMU should be really good. They return most of their team and added some talent in the transfer portal. I wouldn’t call their schedule a gauntlet.
So you’re saying they look like an ACC team? They looked so so bad.

What the heck are you talking about? The interesting thing is EA Sports had it right. Holstein is the starter and a 79 overall whereas Yarnell is a 78. And EA surely doesn't have that extensive of a scouting department. They ask "insiders" with the teams.
I agree with everything you said, but PSU is legitimately a top 12-ish team. The problem is the 12th best team is closer in talent to the 50th best team than the top ranked team.PSU has the 6th best odds to make it. The schedule is cake. Favored in 11 games. Only have to win 10. May not have to beat a ranked team.

It may be a moot point now, but I was curious to what FSU was going to do with their schedule being front loaded with ACC opponents. They don’t play any ACC teams in the last four weeks. If they clinched a spot in the ACC Championship Game, do they rest their players for the next four weeks? The way the college playoff works puts so much emphasis on winning the conference championship that those four non-conference games don’t really matter.Right but their schedule is so easy, they just need to get off the bus 10 times. May as well play the 2nd string against Ohio State because they dont need that game. Shouldn't risk injury.
