Doesn’t matter which.. they all tune in no matter what, either to see him fail or succeed. DJ, Cantlay and the others you mentioned are the most boring personalities on TV, they will not carry any ratings.

hey, these younger guys lack any kind of personality or flare, i agree with you there. and i watch tiger and phil so im with you, i just think those days are in the rearview mirror. people would tune in to if it was Jack vs Arnie but again, its in the past..

Correct. Tiger still moves the needle. Bigly. And probably will for a few years. If he doesn’t win in the next couple it’s probably going to start to decline but for right now he still matters quite a bit for ratings.

DJ just is very boring of a personality. It was great to see his acceptance speech, where he choked up and couldn't finish. He always seems like a robot. Golf has a problem where it just cashed all its chips with Tiger sorta like the NHL did with Gretzky, but never really took time to build others up.

Now, there are probably more stars at the top of the PGA tour as far as talent, and most are either American or European who has some "Q" factor in the US like Rory or Jon Rahm. The problem is, Tiger. It was almost best for golf that Tiger did not win the Masters last year. Great story. But these new guys like DJ, JT, Rory deserve the stage now.

Nobody deserves anything. Rory hasn’t won a tourney in a year or a Major in 6 years
