That was always exciting to hear back in the day when MNF was the only game on TV outside of Sunday.

Love this one, even if it was written by John Tesh. The NBA playoffs were always so much fun to watch in the 90s.
I think the NBA on TNT theme is equally good. This one was written by Trevor Rabin from Yes.

SEC on CBS is the sound of college football for me.
BCS theme with Brent Musburger "You are looking live."
College GameDay theme from the 90s.
NBA on NBC is elite as is the Olympic theme.
NFL: CBS>NBC>FOX>ESPN (the version of the MNF theme posted would be ranked higher)
NHL on ESPN is excellent.

Early 90s nfl prime time music while Boomer and TJ showed the highlights.
And nearly a generation since those two teams were relevant.
I remember as a kid in high school when the Steelers were playing in MNF, I couldn't concentrate in school that Monday and had the theme in my head all day anticipating the game.
But the CBS MLB post season theme is still the best.
Hogan's greatest entrance was the Raw after his WrestleMania match against The Rock.
